This section is essentially retarded. People differ on politics, that's what the DoO is for...having 2 sections essentially kills the DoO and then we get in trouble in the Politics section b/c we're supposed to play nice like the Lounge.

I've never had Access to Doo... Requested it once and never heard back (Probably didn't have the Post count) But after that I never bothered again... It's understandable to move the arguments section away from the main lounge, but to make it exclusive seems a touch silly.

 

I brought up the idea to Mark and the other mods, no response yet. But I agree with you guys. However, where would you be able to discuss religion? And there's also the case of some newbie coming in and spamming with ridiculous posts? What should be done with these offenders? Can't give them warnings,etc.

 

Spamming will either be delt with by beratment DoO style or we'll agree to simply ignore stupidity and not post. But a seperate politics seciton is the death of DoO. Religion doesn't come up that much with YZF gone or unless it's under the topic of abortion.

 

Religion does not come up, and YZF lurks alot more now, but he's around. The Staff will talk about it though.

 

Horrible Idea. Now that the politics section (aka crybaby central) is back up hopefully the quality of threads in the DoO will go up. The place had become a politics section ever since the politics section was removed. The DoO has slowly been diminishing ever since a certain mod decided to enforce his own set of rules on the place that is supposed to be no holds barred. The Might as well bury it all together since it's going to turn into even more of a pansy fest if this idea goes through.

Bunch of liberals trying to defeat the true meaning of the DoO imo.
