Please do away with the polls section in the lounge. Putting a thread in there is damning it to never be viewed by anyone. The lounge is nowhere near full enough of polls that they couldn't be meshed with all the other lounge threads. I have a feeling n00b of the year poll would've gotten many times more attention, if it was a thread in the main portion of the lounge, instead of put in the polls section.

 

Get some more people (a couple dozen or so) to agree with you and I will present it to the staff for review.

I have only been to the poll section like 4 times. I think it was mainly for the noob of the year. I think the forum is starting to feel a little cluttered. There are alot of new and old sections that do not get enough views to be considered an actual section.

Another thing that has been bothering me as of late is the fabrication section. There are alot of good threads in that section that do not get the views they should be getting. I am not sure why it is a sub section of the Interior / Exterior / Audio section, wouldn't it make more sense to be in the rotary performance section.

The drifting section, ya just shut that down it is a cesspool of failure, and more than half of the regulars in that section are on my ignore list because they are complete morons.

Drifting section is not going anywhere. Trust me when I say it, the Racing guys LIKE having the Drifiting section like it is now. It's keeping drift threads out of the real racing section. That's not going to change at all.


I could care less about Polls being in the Lounge.

The polls section gets no traffic. Polls move off the front page when in the main lounge... I'd prefer polls stay in the main section of the lounge, but it's not too big of a deal. Not like polls are a big thing anyway...

The word is that there hasn't been nearly enough of a movement made to close it.

You guys barely have a dozen guys together wanting it closed. Your going to have to do a lot better than that.

 

What the hell is wrong with the poll section? Is it really bothering anyone that doesn't use that section? Sounds like a retarded idea to me, but then again who cares either way.

 

DKJ, Look at it this way- there's really no opposition, other than Hondahater... and he hates everything, anyways. You've got a dozen members here confirming that polls should be merged, and that no one ever goes into the polls section.

Face it, relegating any poll posted in the lounge to the polls section is to effectively say "Any multiple-choice questions posted in the lounge will be forcibly hidden, so no one can see your thread"

 

Any word on this yet? We put up a poll that, of course got moved, but managed to get a 80-20 vote in favor of merging polls with the lounge.
