I noticed that we have 93,000 + members.... why don't we just delete members accounts who are not active users. For example, the people who havn't been active for 1 year plus maybe?? I'm pretty sure not all 93,000 + are active users on this forum.... This might help the speed of the forum as well... Just a thought

deleting inactive members will do absolutely nothing for speeding up the site. Deleting active members...... now THAT will speed up the site.

But it will make searching through the member list easier. And displaying THAT takes a little, doesn't it?

think about it this way: Who would you rather sponsor? The RX7club with 93K members? or the Ilovethe7club with 20 members?? By keeping the inactive members and using that number to advertise ourselves as the LARGEST RX7 COMMUNITY we can get more sponsors and we can keep this website AVAILABLE FREE of CHARGE. Now go post in the tech sections instead of trying toFIX things when there nothing is broken.

 

Everyone knows that this is pretty much the only "club" (save for nopistons) that's national. So that's an invalid point.
