I would like to suggest that someone invent a method for going directly to a known page in a thread with multiple pages, such as this one. There are 272 pages currently on this thread. I am given the choice of first page or last page, and after I choose, I can only increment by one page either way. I have posts on page 215, but getting there (to copy a link for reference on another forum) is almost as bad as changing out the vacuum hoses on an FD (not really). The "Page xxx of yyy pages" text box is not editable, but making it editable might be one way of doing it.
