What members don't think about is the fact that the thread starter is trying to sell what ever they have listed. That's the purpose of a "FS" thread.

Commenting in the thread with anything but the purpose of buying the item just clutters up the thread and undermines the members ability to sell the item.

What also happens is that every time a unneeded post is put in the thread it bumps the thread up and therefore bumps another members thread right off of the main page. You have 5-10 people do this and those members threads that were on the main page are no buried on the 2nd page. With our rule of bumps every 2 days, there thread will not be seen for a while. So in posting unwanted comments you not only disrespect your fellow member but screw other members over by having their threads disappear from the main page.


It's a courtesy thing to pm members to help them. That is if that is your intent. A lot of posts I see are not there to help but to just bash the member for what they are selling whether it be there price or the quality of the item.


The fact is keep unrelated posts out of members FS threads!

This is a simple rule as stated in the rule FAQ section. I did not give you the warning but the members were telling you what you were doing is against the rules. Nothing more, nothing less. These are our rules and ones which when you joined this site that you agreed to abide by. The examples that I posted here that I had to delete from the threads that you posted in are clear violations of the listed thread crap rule. This is not brain surgery. I have explained to you why we have the rule. All are expected to follow the rules and we don't see all violations but if we do see it we will address it and that is just the way it is.

 

You mean after you started that forsale thread in the tech section and proceeded to argue with the members over whether or not it was in the right section?

And learn what fair market value is on those parts you were crapping about. scrubolio's prices are 100% in line with what they should be. You want a cheap parts market, go buy a normal car.
