Introduction
On behalf of the Administrators, Moderators, and members of www.rx7club.com, welcome to the RX-7 Club Forum. Please be aware of the following rules and regulations regarding usage and membership to this forum. The RX-7 Club Forum prides itself on being one of the premier automotive forums on the Internet. As such, it’s important that we keep the site as friendly and on-topic as possible. The following rules outline how we try to keep this a place where anyone can feel comfortable and welcome.

Enjoy your stay!
Signatures and Avatars
1. Custom signatures are enabled, but any graphics used in such signatures are limited to 600 X 150 or 38 KB (whichever is smaller).

2. Signatures are limited to the height equivilent of TEN lines of regular text, including blank lines, or the equivalent size in picture, or picture/text combination. Here is what 10 lines look like:

Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
Line 4
Line 5
Line 6
Line 7
Line 8
Line 9
Line 10

3. There is currently no system to automatically check for signature size limits, so Admins and Moderators will be checking manually. Should your sig be found in violation, you will be asked to fix it; if you don't comply, it may be removed without warning. It is your responsibility to edit your sig and bring it within compliance.

4. Custom avatars are allowed, subject to a limit of a 6K file size and a 100x100 pixel image size. These limits are enforced automatically; the system will not allow you to upload an avatar image that exceeds them.

5. Banners or information linking or referencing to vendor sites ARE NOT ALLOWED in signatures unless the vendor being listed is a paying site vendor or partners of the vendor. A vendor site is where a product or service is offered and is not limited to a specific type of product or service.

6. RX-7 Club policy is that we do not allow links or referencing in signatures to other competing forums. This includes, but is not limited to, other National or International RX-7 related forums. Local club forums, State, and Regional forums are allowed.

7. Threads devoted to other competing forums (as described above) are also prohibited and can be deleted without any notice. Direct links or referencing to other competing forums are also prohibited and may be removed at any time from any part of the website.

8. Signature and avatar content are subject to the same rules as forum posts. As a rule of thumb, if we won't allow it in a thread, it's not allowed in a signature. Moderators reserve the right to edit or remove any signature, avatar, or avatar caption as we deem necessary.

User Conduct
1. Attacks on moderators will not be tolerated, and may result in an immediate permanent ban. Moderators sometimes have to make difficult judgment calls, but remember we *are* human (well at least most of us are!). Hopefully we'll make decisions that are considered "correct" by the majority of the community. Do not post complaints, criticisms or moderation questions on the forum. These posts will be deleted and no explanation will be given. If you have a concern about a particular moderator, send a Private Message to a SuperModerator or to an Administrator. If you have constructive suggestions on improvements that can be made to the forum or its moderation, please post them in the Comments, Suggestions and Issues area.

2. Keep in mind that this is not a democracy. We have the right to refuse service to anyone. If you make yourself too big of a pain in the butt to the moderating community or otherwise are a bad influence on the forum, your access may be revoked.

3. This is not a flame war site, so please do not engage in such. No distinction will be made between the instigator and those who merely participate.

4. Personal attacks against other forum members will not be tolerated, nor will any type of "trolling" for a fight in any forum (including the Difference of Opinion (DoO) section) or for any reason.

5. No racist, homophobic, or misogynistic remarks, including derogatory slang, be it overt or covert, will be tolerated.

6. Be respectful. This is harder to define, but will be moderated. If a moderator believes you are being purposefully disrespectful to a fellow member, you will be notified. Bashing for the sake of bashing will not be tolerated.

7. Don't make slanderous accusations. If you have a problem with another member or business, and cannot prove it absolutely, don’t bring it into the forum. It could be treated as grounds for a lawsuit if you do. Provide your proof in any such posts. Posts with accusations but no proof will be deleted, and the poster will be notified. If your beef is over a purchase/sales experience, we have an area of the forum devoted to that, the "Good Guy/Bad Guy" boards.

8. No sexually explicit material, nudity, or graphic violence are to be posted. The rule of thumb is that if it's something you wouldn't see on network TV, don't post it. The forum strives to maintain a welcoming and family type atmosphere for its members. Any attempts, overt or covert, to undermine this goal will not be tolerated.

9. If you are posting a new thread, do not use vulgarity in the title of the thread. Inside a thread, profanity will only be allowed if used in a controlled manner, and not directed at a particular forum member. Again, just try and be respectful of other forum members.

10. Attacks on new forum members (or "Noobies") will not be tolerated. Remember we were all new to the forum once.

11. Do not post a thread solely aimed at getting the attention of another forum member (i.e. posting ATTENTION FRED SMITH!) The forum provides a private messaging system for contacting individual forum members.

12. Posts soliciting money from users for crowd funding, charities, donations, multilevel marking schemes, and similar are not allowed, nor are any posts soliciting donations for ANY reason without special permission from the Forum Administration team.

13. Multiple posts about the same thing across many forums are considered "spamming" the site and may result in the poster being banned.

14. Please include a descriptive subject for your thread. People shouldn't have to open the thread to find out what the topic is!

15. Allowable sales of items must be done via our Classifieds section, and users must read and agree to the Classifieds Section Rules detailed in section 4 below.

16. RX-7 Club Forum has a very useful search feature. Many questions that new members might have will already have been answered - we recommend that you do a search first before posting a question.
How We Handle Violations
Failure to comply with ANY of the Forum rules may result in disciplinary actions being taken against you, including a ban on your forum account. These actions are usually as follows, though the moderators may, at our discretion, skip steps as we deem necessary:

- For the first violation, a warning may be sent via Private Message (PM) and the offending post will be modified or deleted.

- For the second violation, a warning may be posted in the thread(s) or some other "public" place in the Forum.

- Third violation and it’s 3 strikes, you’re out. The result is usually a permanent ban, although temporary bans of varying duration may be given on occasion. We only use temporary bans occasionally, and even then, only when we're convinced that the person getting banned just needs a lesson, but will play nice when they return.

- We will not get into a debate with a "Ban-ee" or follower(s) of them, here or on other forums. If you would like to discuss the reasons for a ban you may contact us by Clicking Here Any threads opened to discuss/debate/complain about a user that was banned will be deleted, and the thread participants may find themselves also banned.

- After banning, we will frequently edit the "Ban-ee"'s title to reflect why they are banned.

- If you're banned, do not register with another ID/Screen Name -- we *will* find out eventually, ban you again, and we may take further action, including the possibility of contacting your ISP to report the violation. Violations could possibly constitute federal charges.

- The forum Administrators and Moderators retain the right to modify, edit, move, or delete any posts made on the forum by virtue of their position and in compliance with the aforementioned standards. Further, if you continually or repeatedly violate the rules of the forum, your account may be banned.

- Before we unban someone who wants back, we require they provide a verifiable real name, age, address, and phone number; and if under the age of 18, parents name, address, and phone number. Only when we verify this info will we consider taking them back. The idea here is to remove the anonymity of the Internet. This may lead people who have been previously banned and then taken back into thinking twice before they start trying to become an internet tough guy/gal again.

===> BUYER BEWARE!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! <===

- If possible, try to make the deal in person.

- If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

- It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you use an Escrow service, such as https://www.escrow.com/ or http://www.safefunds.com/ to handle money transactions.

- If you're using PayPal, only accept money from Verified buyers if you're selling. You have been warned.

- If you decide to conduct the transaction over the internet, try to cover yourself. Keep track of ALL correspondence! If you have any doubts about a transaction, try using an escrow service for anything that costs more than $100 and is being shipped.

- Buyers MUST keep a record of their payment whether it's a copy of a money order or a PayPal email receipt. Save the original email along with all of it's headers and make sure it has the seller's name on it.

- Sellers MUST USE a traceable method of shipment and remember to write the buyer's address on it. This usually only costs a few bucks extra. - If you get ripped off, it is recommended that you retain an attorney, contact your local law enforcement agencies, and contact the FBI Internet Fraud Complaint Center here http://www.ic3.gov/ .

- RX7Club.com has no obligation to help you arbitrate an issue or dispute with someone selling items via the Classifieds section. If you have problems, it will be up to you to work them out with the seller.

**********************************************************************************************************

- RX-7 Forum is not a general classifieds ad site; please do not post for sale ads for your used car (unless it's an RX-7), your apartment for sublease, or your used furniture, etc, on this website. These types of ads will be removed. For instance, in the Parts for Sale forum, the forum is ONLY for the sale of RX-7 and rotary powered vehicle parts, or things that could be used with the vehicle. In the RX-7s For Sale forum, the forum is ONLY for the sale of rotary engine powered vehicles (rotary vehicles with non-rotary engine swaps are fine).

- Parts for sale threads go in the specific generation parts forums and Vehicles for sale go in the specific generation vehicle forums. You may not offer the same Vehicle for sale and offer to part it out at the same time. It must be one or the other.

- Car Part out threads are subject to these guidelines.

- List as many parts as you want, each with their initial asking prices, but 15 parts is the minimum that MUST be listed.

- Any inquiries of parts that you have that are not listed, post the asking price for that item in the ad.

- All items must have an initial asking price.

- Make sure that you put your thread in the appropriate for sale forum as listed on the main page classifieds.

- No "How much is this car or parts worth?" type threads. To determine this, do a basic scan on Autotrader.com, motors.ebay.com, or search the appropriate classifieds here to see what they are going for, etc. These searches will allow you to figure out what the average price is for a given car or part. Threads posted here asking our members to estimate the value of your car will be deleted.

- No threads "selling" CarFax or other similar reports. It is against the rules of CarFax and other similar commercial services for users to do VIN checks for other people using their services. It is assumed that VIN checks posted and provided in that section are being done the old fashioned way - by pulling public records such as those kept by DMV, and NOT via CarFax or any other commercial service.

- No selling stuff on behalf of other people, including relatives. If they can't sell it themselves that's their own problem. Don't make it yours.

- No thread crapping. Not limited to but including posts referencing to the price or the quality of the product being offered, whether you dislike the item, etc...remember, it is a for sale thread not a poll or opinion thread. The key is, if you are not interested in buying it then there is really no reason to post anything at all in the thread. If you have something that you feel might help the member with the sale, then please PM that member. Remember to be polite and courteous when doing so.

- No thread hijacking. (When someone posts a FS/WTB/FT thread and you post 'me too!')

- All items MUST have an initial asking price.

- All FS/FT/WTB/WTT threads MUST list where you are located either with the Location Icon or manually typed into the heading of the thread with either City/State or Zip code information.

- This is not an auction site. DO NOT DIRECTLY LINK YOUR PRODUCT TO EBAY.

- No links or referencing to any offsite selling is allowed. This includes but is not limited to eBay, craigslist, etc. Threads that have these links may be deleted without notice.
- This rule is to help protect the members against possible scammers.
- Offsite links for photos are allowed as long as there are no parts or services offered in those links.

- Try to make your buy/sell/trade post subject look something like this:
> no "Might be selling," or feelers. It's either for sale or it is not.
> state if it is FS/FT/FS-FT/WTB/WTT or PO (ForSale/ForTrade/ForSaleorForTrade/WantToBuy or PartOut)
> describe the product
> state the price (With currency) (if it's a for sale ad)
> state the location
> state if you are willing to ship and how far
> remember a picture is worth a thousand words
> use the specific section, put the ad where it belongs (3rdgen in 3rd Gen section and so forth)

- Remember, there are people from all over the world here, so please specify the currency.

- Try to keep the number of NEW threads to a minimum per member. If you have 5 different things to sell at once, please don't put post 5 different threads so each thing can have its own thread. In the end, this will limit your selling because you are only allowed 5 for sale threads per month.

- No excessive thread bumping, a bump every 2 days is what is allowed.

- Please don't bother the site owners/moderators with things that aren't from this board. If you meet someone and they sell you something extra, that's your problem.

- Remember moderator(s) don't get paid a cent for policing this, so keep that fact in mind when you complain to the admin(s)/moderator(s)!

- No
> Illegal software
> Dangerous, counterfeit or stolen goods
> Goods which do not actually exist
> Food items
> Alcoholic beverages
> Cigarettes or any other tobacco products
> Pharmaceuticals or any other controlled substances
> Goods that infringe or violate anyone's rights
> Items which in RX-7 Club's sole discretion, are considered to be inflammatory, offensive or otherwise inconsistent with RX-7 Club's standards of business ethics
> Messages, data, or images that might be considered by a reasonable person to be obscene or which contain racial, ethnic, religious slurs or derogatory epithets, or advocating violence, hate or other language that is deeply or widely offensive

- If you are found to be ripping anyone off, you will be put in the 'Bad & Fugly' members or businesses section by the Buyer and will be banned from the website.

- Remember to always leave feedback after a transaction in the Good Guy/Bad Guy forum and with the iTrader scoring system.

- If you sell your item(s,) please notify others by posting an update in the thread. Do NOT ask the mods to delete the thread, we will not remove transaction history.

Advertising on the site
These rules were put in place to preserve the financial status of this site. Hosting costs are VERY expensive. In order for us to continue providing it as a free service to users all over the world, we must generate some revenue. It's only fair that you, as a Vendor, pay for promotion of your product.

1. We have MANY ways to allow you to promote your company. Please contact us at AutoAdvertiser@internetbrands.com for more information.

2. NO FREE ADVERTISING WILL BE ALLOWED!!! If you have a product you wish to promote to the RX-7 Club community, then you MUST purchase advertising on this site. This includes even if the product/service you're wanting to post is "just so you (or a friend) can help out members." You can be SURE that SOMEONE is making money, and to do that via our sites IS NEVER FREE. Sorry.

3. Group Buys for products ARE considered advertising, and must be paid for and arranged for via AutoAdvertiser@internetbrands.com. If you wish to organize a Group Buy, again please contact us at AutoAdvertiser@internetbrands.com for more information.

4. Effective 1/1/07, Group Buys (and in some cases, Forum Vendorship) may require that the Vendor provide proof of identity, address, and contact information along with a copy of your business license if you have one. Please contact us at AutoAdvertiser@internetbrands.com for more information.

5. If you cannot reach us at AutoAdvertiser@internetbrands.com, then DO NOT ASSUME it's ok to run your Group Buy or Advertising materials. ANY Group Buy or Advertising NOT ARRANGED by AutoAdvertiser@internetbrands.com WILL BE REMOVED.

6. Paying site Vendors must follow the forum rules just like anyone else. If a Vendor is found to not be following them, this may be considered to be a violation of their Terms of Service agreement and their access may be revoked. If this occurs, any money paid will NOT be refunded.
