Pages not loading.

It seems like every time a Chevy ad banner is on the top page, it doesn't load. It just has the RX7Club banner up top, the tool bar below that, and the ad below that, and at the bottom of the browser it says "Done"- meanwhile the page is blank!!!! I'm not complaining about the Chevy ad other than it seems to be up EVERY time this problem occurs. Am I alone here?

I've been getting the same thing happening. Whether I'm in IE 7, IE 8 & firefox 3.5, each time the Chevy ad appears, the page refuses to load.

Ironically I'm looking at this thread with a Chevy ad at the top of the page.

On a related note, you know it's easy to remove the ads completely right?

The same thing is happening to me, I have to refresh the page five or six times until its not a chevy ad. How do you remove the ads completley?

Depending on what browser you prefer there are several adblocking softwares.

Chevy ads causing page not to load?

Is anyone else having problems with the rest of the page not loading most of the time when one of the chevy ads at the top of the page show up? Mine will load the top banner, then when a chevy ad shows up it stops. Sometimes it will load the whole page, but usually I have to hit refresh a lot.

Just wondering if this is a problem with my comp or the forum, because it is getting really old refreshing my brower a dozen times till the a chevy ad goes away.

I have this done on my personal computers, but I also have numerous work computers that I log in from at different times. It's not so convenient to setup adblock on all of them. Though I might end up doing it anyway if this bug sticks around.

problem viewing forum

For the last couple weeks I've had trouble with nothing displaying except the title and top advertisement on the forum. I can click links and it won't load the page just the title and add. I can clear my cookies and it fixes it temporarily, or I can reload the page multiple times and it eventually will work. Or just wait a little while. But it's annoying. It happens 50% of the time and can last several minutes at a time. Here is a screen shot of what it's doing. See all the grey? Should be displaying a thread. I did a virus scan and nothing came up. Seems to only have issues on this forum.

Thanks for the screenshot. What browser version are you using?

I need versions of the apps.

I have the same applications - FF, Chrome and IE plus Opera Mini 4.2 on my Instinct and I have never seen what you guys are seeing. This isn't a widespread problem it's a niche issue.

It doesn't happen every time a chevy add is displayed, but enough of the time that it's annoying. It just happened again for me on the chevy add, then once the add changed to tirerack it was working. The chevy add is now back and is working. So it's hit or miss even with the chevy add, but it does seem to be the only add that causes it.

I'm running the latest of everything. Chrome is the latest on the DEV channel 4.0.223.9, firefox is whatever is the latest stable. Never use IE cause it sucks. And 4.2 on opera mini. Whatever the issue is, it doesn't seem to be a browser problem due to it effecting all of them. The problem is widespread enough for several people to report it, and I'm sure more have had the issue and either dismissed it, haven't seen this thread or don't bother posting about it. I've delt with it for 2 weeks before saying anything and I'm on here all throughout the day, everyday.

I've had a page load only a small handful of times, maybe 4 or 5 out of the many times the ad pops up. Every other time, it looks just as the screenshot above. My browser is Google (not chrome, the one before that) but something tells me it has nothing to do with that.

I've never seen an ad on this site using Firefox and Adblockplus.

No more problem for me. I added an add block script to my router, but no more issue even without it.

Interesting. I'll leave this open. Screenshots are appreciated. I haven't really had a banner do anything odd in a long time. I guess I'm just lucky.
