Any way to keep from auto-scrolling to the latest post?

This is extremely annoying and I'm not sure there is even a solution. Whenever I click on a post from my profile it loads the page and I start reading before the page is done loading because I don't want to wait. As it loads it auto-scrolls the page to my post while I'm reading another random post and it does this like 3 times...any way to change this?

Yeah its hard to time it right because if you press it too early all the posts don't load up. I like to read the posts as the page is loading. This is probably just typical OCD behavior though.

I see what you're saying, and I don't think there is anyway to do it. DKJ might have a more definite answer for you though. I don't think their is a setting, but something you can do to trick the forum. I've done it once or twice, but it escapes me right now.

In the Control Panel under Edit Options there is a Thread Display Mode setting.

You can play with those settings, but otherwise I don't know of a way to resolve your issue.

Usually I just like the "last page" or page number of the thread from my control panel. This takes you to the top of that page specific page and doesn't auto-scroll. This might be an acceptable option.

Yeah, I'm just going to live with it, lol. Regardless of whether it loads the last/first post or my post I will keep scrolling up and down to skim through the posts while the screen is loading and it will try and take me back to the post that I requested.

I think its just me, I try to limit time spent on the internet so I try and save every last second while a normal person would just wait for page to load while they watch youtube videos or whatever, lol...no big deal, I was just wondering if there was an easy solution by changing options that I don't care to familiarize myself with. Thanks for the quick responses.
