Ads are blocking search funtion bar

Some of the ads overlap the search function. So that you can't type in anything, or even see the whole bar.

If you use firefox, just right click on the picture and block images from the host, no more banners!

Search blocked...

The advertising space up top... whenever it's the ad from RXTuner magzine it blocks the search box. Just a little annoying having to refresh the page till it's not RXTuner's ad so search can be done.

Is there some reason the ad bar is covering up my search function?

Seems to me...

Edit: of course it's working now... fyi it was during the racecar, fabrication, forced induction ad.

A few of the banners, not all, do this to the search function. They must be uploaded different than the rest. The refresh button will clear this issue if the admins can't.

Advertising banners getting in the way.

I know at least one ad on here (http://www.synaptic3.com/) blocks 2 functions on the top navigation bar - the New Posts drop down and the Search drop down. Then again I run a pretty high resolution, so it might affect other viewers differently. I also run Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.7

Not a big problem just gets annoying hitting refresh a bunch of times to try and get a different banner to appear so I can use the functions I use the most about this forum.

Mazda advertisement banner makes impossible to use search link on top

Well it`s my 3rd or 4th time on Rx7club this month and I was trying to search for some stuff. When I`m on the main page I click on search (the one on top) and The small window pop out where I have to type stuff. The black Mazda banner somehow covers the whole window and I can`t type anything so I have to use advance searching. I`m using Firefox 2.0.0.4... I don`t really care about it but other people might.
Thank you!

PS. you have to be on the main page and there has to be the black FLASH mazda banner. It seems to work ok with other banners.

Banner/search issue

with certain banners on the main forum page the drop down for the search box appears behind the banner. Not allowing you to use it.

Anyone still having problems with this?

If so please note which banner, your browser version and what screen resolution you are running.

Close to a year?

It's been close to a year now that the banners have been obscuring the search functions.

Is anyone ever going to BOTHER to fix it?

No, it is a web design problem. Not all browers will work as desired. If there is still a problem with the function of the page, it should be fixed.

If I were the only one to experience this problem, I would blow it off too, but the reality (as far as I can see from other posts) is that there are others experiencing the problem too. Just as I did before I applied 'the fix' and then had the problems come back later.
