what should i do ??

hey guys,
i have someone that bought an item i had for sale.
in this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/canadian-sale-wanted-classifieds-120/rtek-t2-trans-driveshaft-%2Acheap%2A-879803/
its the n374 jdm ecu. the pictures, and the name of the part is clearly shown.

but the buyer... for a reason i ignore... after he payed me, and i shipped him the ecu.
writes to me, telling me this:

Hey man,

This is NOT a N370 Ecu it is a N374 ECU and because of that does not work! I can arrange to have it shipped back to you. for a refund.

Let me know,

Jeff
--------------------------------------------------------

so, what should i do.... i mean, its NOT MY mistake. do i refund him, ending up losing 20$ cause i shipped him something he didnt take the time to look at properly.
do i partially refund him .... or should i not refund him, as he just take his responsabilities and try to sell it on his own, since he didnt took time to know what he actually bought.
if you go to any jdm shop and buy something that isnt right, they dont refund you ....
should i do the same....
some guys here know me and know im easy to deal with but i dont see why would i have to put up with someone error because he didnt pay attention ....
i have only good feedback, and wouldnt want a bad one to mess up my ratings.

any pointers would help !!

thanks guy,

Bruno

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it's the buyers fault. It clearly says and shows what it is in your ad. I think it's now the buyers problem to deal with. They can either use it or sell it on their own. Just my 2 cents.

You stated what you had. I would say leave it with him. Who's to say they didn't swap it with a non working unit?

ok, i told the guy i would see into what i will do.
now he's trying to tell me that ohhh its not because its the wrong ecu, but now he's telling me the ecu is not working properly. (that only the front rotor is working good. and he told he tryed on 2 fc. ( within a few hours in between the emails)...
the ecu was remoed from a fully fonctional highly modified s5 jdm fc (bp engine, t04 turbo, add injectors, etc, car was running on a triple plate clutch ).. that me and my mechanic parted out.
so his story is kinda changing more and more .....
i just dont want to get warned by a moderator.

thanks a lot for your points of views !!
keep them coming please !!

If you have the emails and it is how you describe then you should be fine. He should have been more careful.

Why should the seller take a HIT in this when the Buyer was the one that Made the mistake? He could comprehend enough to send funds Via Paypal,so we know he can read.
,Why could he not tell the Difference between 374 and 370,when it was clearly marked?
Bruno, read my Other reply in your Other thread,it may have some info for ya,

wow this is posted everywhere,

I will admit that I am the buyer, I am not ashamed, the description was a S5 N374 Chipped ECU.

Now I do not want o repost all of it so if you want the rest of the information please read here;

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/what-should-i-do-buyer-cause-problem-893618/

I rather wish this could have stayed between us and we could have come to an amicable resolution Got_boost.
