Guess I'll answer this since I finally decided myself hehe. I made a short list.

The first major decision is that I'm going to semi-pp the motor. This is going to open up my top-end ridiculously and allow me to rev to 9000-9500 RPM. To match this I have to upgrade my turbine housing from a 1.0 to a 1.3 A/R as the 1.0 was already choking at 13 PSi. I expect to hit 800 rwhp with this setup at some yet to be determined boost level. To keep things kosher, I'm going to install an additional rear mounted radiator as my cooling was borderline adequate already with 250*F peak water temperatures. This is probably what you would consider the major part of the winter upgrade. The rest I'll just list...

Rear fenders (finally!)
Front wheel bearings
fuel surge tank
aluminum backplate for the turbo (weight savings)
big rear brakes

18" rims, 12" front, 14" rear with R80 compound 285/355 tires
front/rear diffuser and side skirts (modest stuff)

And these are budget depending...

AIM steering wheel
Titanium engine studs, tensions bolts, front/rear shaft nuts, misc chassis bolts

This is what my engine is gonna sound like after the upgrade

Do you have plans for a transmission that can handle that kind of power? I thought you were already breaking transmissions fairly regularly and had to dial back the tune to keep from busting third gears, or did I miss that you had that sorted already?

You probably get asked this a lot, but is the car painted IBM? It's hard to find good pictures of IBM cars in various light conditions.

Ignore the above, did some searching through your post history.

Great build. Looking forward to seeing more and more

I've had 2 paint jobs in IBM since I've owned the car. The current one came out a little darker then the original paint job. I believe they applied a heavier coat of paint. Here's a bunch of pictures taken during the first original paint job which I believe is the true IBM... The current one is a darker IBM

Semi-pp 20b turbo? Amazing, I will make the trip to see that on the track! Is that a t6 turbo youre using? Where you gonna get the little pp holes done? I have a pair of semi pp housings that are going into my build someday.

It's a GTX4202R turbo currently with a Tial 1.0 turbine housing which I will be changing to a 1.3 housing. I think it will work well and my primary concern will be cooling. I think the rear mounted rad will address water temps but I'm not sure about oil since with high RPM comes increased oil temps. I should probably install a gauge and find out lol.

Holy smokes I agree that pull at 7:10. r35 are track monsters but to see a modded rx7 keep up or up to paces is amazing

R35's are slow... at least stock ones. I've never had a problem with GT-R's on the track even when I had my 13b. In fact I own one and find it lacks pull coming out of mid to high speed corners. The weight factor is really killer. It's only really good at low speed corners due to the AWD and all the suspension electronics.

It does a good job of showing off the tire but it still needs fenders

The larger front wheels are going to help. go as wide as possible, this will eliminate understeer and have more predictable handling. fit them with a stretch.

The wider the rear, the worse traction you get going forward and backwards, but you gain traction in the corners. Not sure if I would run such a large split in widths, but that is up to you. The racers found that wider front wheels, yea wider fronts, on RWD cars produced faster times. The rear engine cars might run wider rears because of the weight distribution. being close to a 50/50 I would think your tire widths would be as well.

Holy crap its like a rocket..... And with even wider tires it will be like a little formula one zipping in and out of turns! On the side note, why does it shoot white smoke sometimes? My fd does that once or twice every track day. Is it water leakage?
