I'm in the process of doing the vacuum hose job and need to know where to get my injectors cleaned and flow matched. Anyone use someone locally?

Chances of lining up enough support in todays economic climate is very questionable right now. Get deposits!!! However, after spring when the roads are fine many will find the money$$$

Well boyz! whats the deal with this? Is this going to happen? If things are not, I'm gonna head somewhere else. I need to know soon as I will stay local and get it done. Dont want to waste time this year having the car sit in the shop!

let me know.

I would like to get the details.

Hey guys. For just the 5 of us we would likely be paying $100 extra each above the Specific tune you would be getting from Steve.

unfortunately Steve booked a driving school scheduled over our tune date for the May long weekend. So if everybody is game, we can do it for the weekend after May long.

If this works for the 5 of you (Dont tap out Golden Child) We should send our deposits ($200) to Kan ASAP.

Let me know what you guys think.

And idont belive it will be this much at all. for me anyways $350 + $100 for the lack of people. +Dyno Time. Kan has been known to tune a Engine with one map in a few hours.

i think in all (For the basic tune with the twins) you would be looking at about $650.

this is what steve told me
Well, it's actually very easy to figure out. I need to make a minimum of $1500 for a weekend to make it worthwhile. Generally, expenses could cost up to $1000 a weekend so I will need to make around $2500 to cover any expenses. Usually, that translates to approximately 6-8 people per weekend.

so 2500/5 is 500 person but i put in a 750 for add cost to come to calgary to be safe so we are looking 500-650 us a person with 5 people.

Golden Child i would looking in to http://forcefedracing.ca/ just get a Micro Tech like i will be doing if kan does not come and you'll have a real standalone ecu.

3rdgenguy; I know about forcefed as well. My car was out in BC last year getting repainted. I really dont want to do that trip again(I'm partial to flying now!)

Quite honestly I just want to dial in my car a bit better for the short term. I will be going single sometime, so I would need another tune after that. Maybe over the winter next year.

I'm just hitting the stock twins for a while with supporting mods. I might bump up the injectors and add AI for this tune. Thats why I like Cam as he does AI and tuning. One stop shop.

I'll see how things work out.

Golden Child i thought you where alreadly single as far as Lightspeed they will most likely be more then okay for a stock twins car not to much you can do from a good base map anyways just idle and afr and check the timing.

How is Cam at tuning? Reliable?

3rd gen: I never got anything from Kan about that. Would have been nice. he told me if we have 5 guys, about 100 dollars extra each would be about right. And that's USD.

So like i said, about 650-700 dollars CDN for everything INCLUDING Dyno Time would be my estimate.

Rx72Heaven im ready to pay 900-1200 for a good tune good meaning pushing 20psi on my gt35r im still want for this kan day to happen but we can't hid the fact it is going to cost more then 450-600 more like 700- 1200 all on your set up all said and done. If this does not happen ill have to spend 3000g to switch to Micro Tech and a tune at forcefed. Lightspeed may also do a good tune it is all up to you he has tuned a few rotarys in the past no first hand experence from me.

3rdgenguy I'm still with the twins for now. My map was placed by Adam when it was installed after my rebuild but I sit pig rich all the time. I'm dying of the fumes!

I have been talking to Cam about a few things and mentioned Steve to him as well. I think he may have a difference of opinions on tuning? Rx72Heaven, have you talk to Cam about using his facilities and at what rate?

Also Cam has said he has done quite a few rotaries and Adam directed him to me as well. I know everytime I try to get a hold of the guy he is sittin in the dyno!

Anyways I dont want to delay much longer, I wanna run my car this year!

P.S. I dont know what you guys are looking for with a tune but I'm comfortable with Cam and he might help us out with pricing if we went to him together?

Sorry guys, I'm out!
i went to cam, it was a good experience, i was a little iffy at first but regardless of situation, the tune was good....

however my timing curves kind of worry me at time's, i have negetive split as the rev's drop ( by one or two degree's ), but it doesent seem to affect anything at all.... other then that the tune was conservative and strong, cant complain for getting 344whp @ 12psi out of a BNR Stage 3....

Cam has a wicked tool called the "knock box", he put sensors inside the engine bay and if ANY form of knock occurs he hears it through the headphone's that he wears, it was freaky watching my car hitting boost while AFR's were 14 and what-not but with cam's skill i eventually calmed down, lol....

as for THIS dyno session, $800 a person?, cant do that, so i'm out....

We wouldnt be looking @ 800. Look at the front page.

If we dont get more then 5 guys. then Kan demands $100 more. Then its just Dyno time after that.

Hopefully ill find some time this week to call around and see what guys would do about hr/Rates. but if anyone else wants to they can call around aswell, and post up here, and let us know what you found.
