So how did it go?
It would have been a great one for me to do as I live so close to there that could even push the car how should it come to that. I don't think the megasquirt is ready and while you were doing it Aaron and I dropped my rear subframe and diff. Aaron welded up the diff mounting bracket.

It was a blast. We didn't win but we didn't suck *** either. Huge turnout though. 34 cars in total, including a ViperGTS, two Mustang Cobras, one that was done to the nines, as well as a few miatas and a sprinkling of everything else in between. 6 runs for everyone then a free-run session afterwards. Sadly my best time was done during the free run so it didn't help me. All in all not bad for my first auto-X. Nikki did me proud today

Originally I planned to attend but with the reports of rain for yesterday, Jeff and I dropped his subframe instead. Of course, no damn rain all day yesterday so that plan was kind of ruined.
I did, however, probably see one of the Mustangs on the way to the event. A maroon Cobra was driving like an absolute *** on Hamilton. Tailgating, weaving, no signal. He turned down towards Fanshawe so I can only assume he was on his way to the autrocross.

I guess my buddy wasn't lying that I actually had a 39.462 if i hadn't hit 6 pylons on my last run. Sucks waiting so long in line that your tires get cold. At least i know the car has it in her to dare I say be the first?

That was actually a really fun course. I learned alot through my 6 timed and 2 "fun" runs. Hopefully I can make it out a few more times.
Thanks Sam, I didn't know anyone had gotten any video of me going around. I think that was my first or second run, and I was hesitating alot. As I went along I was giving it alot more gas and by the end I was drifting a little bit around most of the corners, letting the throttle do most of the steering. Tons of fun and glad to see Sam caught one of my more controlled exhibitions. Had one off course when I locked it up going into the 90* left turn on the right. Wound up with my nose right on the cones so I had no choice but to drive over the cones. All in all a great day.

It's all about experience, hopefully next year I'll be doing it on a regular basis. 4 seconds off the pace isn't bad for someone who doesn't do it on a regular basis and is on street tires.
Unfortunately the classes are such that the performance of one's car when modified in an uncondusive manner is of little consequence. eg. I imagine the closest car to yours in terms of classing would be the formula car. The same goes for my car.
