RXTUNER, test drove dudes car, broken something.

Imagine my surprise. I was out at the magazine store and low and behold there is a new issue sitting on the shelf. (RXtuner mag) Now I don't know about anyone else but my two year subscription that started who know's when has not begone to supply me with one issue yet. Let alone the problems with last years issues. I wonder how long this publication will last. It's to bad really. I voted instead to buy Tuner performance report. WWW.tprmag.com. It has a huge 24 page write up on FD3s, 13B VS renisis etc etc.

On another note backed my rx7 into my cookie cutter supposedly 2 car garage and hit the side of the wall. NICE! Another reason to get a paint job. So much for having orginal paint.

Also broke something in the rear end of the car. (Unrelated incident) Car is sloppy and has a clunking noise coming from the back suspension area. Wonder what it is?

Well this looks like a WAH post. LMAO. Who would have thought.

Bumped into a guy down the street that has the cleanest convertable I have ever saw. Mint. HE even gave me and jay the keys to test drive it. Said this convert is in the family to stay! Thanks for the keys to the convertable tim! Can't believe you let a stranger take her for a rip!

If this is a white convertible with a roll bar I am pretty sure I met him when he got rear ended on my street last summer. Nice car.

When does it clunk? Fairly randomly? Going over bumps? Turning?...

My back end clunk was the control links, but it didn't affect handling. For those, I just removed them both, flipped them over, and swapped sides. It's been fine every since - something like 6 years now.

Watch your grammar. I thought this was a post about RX Tuner driving someone's car and breaking it.

Eats, shoots, and leaves.

Now now, Feds! There are commas in the topic title

It's "RXTUNER, test drove dude's car, broken something"

The commas clearly indicate a list!

If it were "RXTUER test drove dude's car, broke something" then it would be another case...

Soooo.... Yeti 1, Feds 0

OK, I realize that I'm not really a part of the in crowd, but y do u call Ian a Yeti Sophia? I met him @ the Splitfire dyno meet and he didn't really seem to resemble a yeti.......unless he shaved a lot before he came out........riiiiiiight. Either way I'm sure there is an interesting story there and since my car has been in the shop for the last 2 months, I really need some entertainment so dish it up. lol

You know, I don't know the exact story about when the nickname came to be. Better ask EvilRotor about that one. - he seems to be responsible for most nicknames on here. What I do know, is that even if he doesn't look like one now... https://www.rx7club.com/canadian-forum-42/sighting-pair-yetis-434369/

I just got a "cheap" paintjob on my 10AE and it sucks, but it's still about 500x better than my peeling original paint! So I vote for paint the car.

Sounds like a diff mount to me! because that's what it always is lol.
somehow I haven't broken mine yet, but I'm about halfway there.

one good launch on a pair of DR's will be the end of it I bet.

Well I found out what the noise was and the reason for the rear end feeling loose.

The rear sway bar bushing is totally gone. And its actually swaying about an inch back and forth. Hitting the side of the sway bar! So now to figure out if I need an upgrade kit or just use stock bushings

And about my grammer. LOL. It sucks! To late to correct it now

Lawyer,
Yup its that guy you bumped into you. He remembered your name too.

Cheers,
I hate work! Why go there when I don't have to

Sophia

Ya work does suck. But work = $$$, $$$ = living =wanting to live.

onto more important maters, So you are going to spend some enormous amount of $$$$ on a car that is worth not so much? hrm....

I've been thinking about painting my car but it's hard to justify spending 3000 bucks for paint job when the car isn't worth anymore than 6000 (don't include mods).

As for your bushing. Just buy a set of energy suspension polyrethane bushings. You can buy them seperately so you don't have to buy the whole kit. I have them with the S4 control links on the front suspension. They work ok. Doon't bother waiting your money on adjustable end links at this time.

The car is worth it to me. Booze, cigs, divorce, etc etc can cost more. There is worse things to spend your money on.

Paint. Might as well paint it. What does $3500 buy you now aday's anyhow? I spend that much in interest and tax's in three months anyhow!!

Bushings? Might as well buy what you suggest.

I should have listened to you about that racing beat exhaust. I've burnt out that magnaflow silencer in 7000KM! And thats with my evilspanks notorious short shifting no boost driving.
