well, I got the valve job done and the head planed today. Valves go in tomorrow and I can set the clearances - maybe even assemble the head!

Probably put the shortblock together saturday or monday... car running by next weekend if I'm lucky and all goes well.

Got all my intake valves in and set today. Will pull them out tomorrow and do the exhaust side. Then I can finally re-assemble the head and it's done.

I'll do the shortblock sometime next week I guess.

I got my exhaust manifold on, and the wastegate dump pipe made. Engine bay has been cleaned and painted. Now I just have to assemble. Everything.

I hope the snow is gone by then. For me I would like to drive it a few km too. Not that I did anything close to what you did.....

Man can't wait.

I got my exhaust valves done today!

I will have the head 100% finished tomorrow
and the bottom end done probably wednesday or thurs!

if all goes well my car is on the road in less than two weeks. I'm still waiting for some bushings (not necessary to drive the car but 100% needed before I go that far- the car is destroying the front tires) and an oil seal (which I need before the car will even move )

I really should start taking pictures of this stuff. hehe.

I wonder if we can purchase parts in the states I could do without the duty shipping. Hopefully be some vendors along the way or something.

Ian

Installed my bumper and cold air duct for the oil cooler back on. Getting closer!

I know it's getting to be a long thread, but read harder man. We are meeting in Windsor before we cross into the US on the 10th at 8 PM. **** that's a month away. The bloody snow better go away soon or I'm screwed. Very hard to get anything done when the car is buried. By wing man do you mean passenger? If so I'm sure theres at least one person thats driving down solo. Wheres your car?

thanks for the info.

My Fc has an over heating problem and i am waiting for some decent weather to do some trouble shooting. I have a barage of test to perfrom to determine the problem.

Plus I need an Etest BUT the car does not have an air pump so i know passing is hopeless by my research without it.

SO i am looking for an Etest if you know what i mean.

I am pretty new to the rotary as you can tell, I am a SR20 guy but i love learning new platforms.

In no time it will be time to go. Were going to have to get contact information etc. Maybe start another thread.

I had to get another injector driver for my AI kit (testing still required) so besides reinstalling a few interior parts and components and at least two days of washing and cleaning I'm done.

Hope the rest of you will be ready.

You guys should sign up for the "DGRR Intro to EFI tuning seminar" if you want to learn about your car and don't know a lot like me.

yeah I was going to sign up for that but when I looked at what is being taught I think I know most of that allready. I'd be down for a slightly more advanced class.. the next level after this one maybe.

ALMOST got my damn engine in last night, after spending 2 days putting the accessories on. #)($* twin plate clutch wouldn't co-operate.

hopefully today it's in and running. Going to go out and work on it in another 20 minutes. I was out there till 1:30AM last night.

I'm not even sure when we are all leaving. I will be meeting up with classicauto then heading out to terrh house. I have the whole day off anyhow. Can't wait either way. Just looks like the rx7 will see driving snow for the first time since I've owned it.
