The only traffic you should have to worry about is the 401 in your area, generally it is between light and mid range traffic, aside from maybe Kitchener-Waterloo. Otherwise it's pretty easy to deal with at any time from there to Windsor.
I'm OK with leaving whenever, I'm close enough to the Windsor, so it doesn't really matter. Also the 75 is littered with hotels/motels all the way down, in pretty much any fair sized town, so we won't have to go far. I suggest getting to Dayton, then leave there around 9 the next morning to miss Cincinnatti retard traffic. At least getting south of Toledo is a must.

Post a mapquest link to this shop, that might be a good place to meet as well, but we'll have to decide between that and a Timmies. I know I'll want some timbits for the trip. mmmmm empty carbs.

So everyone agrees, we're leaving windsor thursday at 8PM?
Insane motorsports is like, 30 seconds from my garage in leamington. It's only a block away. We can meet up there whenever. And all meet (since a few of you aren't spending the day here?) at the timmies in windsor at 8PM.
That gets us to southern ohio (assuming noone gets "randomly" searched at the border) by midnight, and then leaves 7-8 hours of driving tops for friday. We can leave early in teh AM and take the scenic/fun route down, get to hotel checkin for 4-5PM (earliest checkin is 4PM). Sound good?

Heres a link to a map of Insane Motorsports location.
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...8g&ambiguity=1
Its right beside a McDonald's, and across the street from a Jose's. It's pretty easy to find.
For anyone who wants Timmies, there is one about a 1 minute drive away.

That sounds like a good plan to me. It would be nice to get there with some energy left over.
I'll probably just meet at the Timmies in Windsor. It's the one on the right that has that small farmers market type thing right? I know theres that one and another one further down on the left. Leamington is a bit out fo the way for me.

I dunno, at that point we'll likely be in "cruise" formation. So we'll be waiting for everyone to cross in that parking area/waiting area/whatever the hell it is anyways. If they want to pull someone aside, it'll be beside/near where the rest of us are already waiting anyways.

I can meet some people there, it's like 5 minutes (the way I drive) from my place. Just give a call when your almost there and I can meet there, grab some fuel and go.
If we do get seperated theres a Pilot truck stop at exit 18 on 75 South. That's the most easily accesible spot I know of where we can all park and then jump right back on the highway. They are doing some major construction at the bridge right now so it's going to be a big mess for a while, so we may not be able to sit around and wait for anyone there. Anyone that gets pulled aside will just have to drive about 30 miles alone.
The Timmies is on the right side, just after the road goes from 2 lanes to 3. Can't miss it. If you hit the one on the left, you've gone too far. I doubt anyone knows the address to look up on mapquest, but It's pretty obvious, like most Timmie Ho's are.

as far as I know, the list from here is as follows:
thewird (1993 FD)
Classicauto (1987 TII)
Orion (1984 GSL)
jinx (1993 FD)
SpecFC(1987 TII)
Terrh (1992 GTR or 1988 turbovert)
Ian (1988 10AE)
so that's 7 of us, 8 if the RX-8 guy is coming.
sweet, should make for a fun trip down, all the generations are represented too!
I honestly think that maybe the best way to go down is just I-75 till we get right near the gap, then go through the park... and maybe on the way back take a longer/more scenic route.. what's everyone else think on this?

yeah, I don't know how fast you guys plan on driving, but if you all think I'm driving behind 5+ catless rx-7's for any length of time, you've got another thing coming. I like my lungs. hahahahahaha
IAN, I'm open to route suggestions on the way down! I just can't figure much out that gets us there before 4PM unless you want to leave wherever we stop from super early, or stop super late. (like 2AM).

75 is the most direct and quickest route. Detroit to Knoxville. And I don't have cats so someone is gonna suffer. A few friends that have driven behind me have mentioned the smell. Although I kept the charcoal canister intact for that very reason. Here is a map (if the link works) from Lake City (a little north of Knoxville) to Nantahala. We wind down alot of HWY 129, so the route down should be quite fun.

I think we should drive until after Cincinnati, Thursday night. Thats like 7.5hrs, maybe find somewhere to stay just after the city, would put us at like 1-2am. Then finish the rest in the morning, which would be about 5-6hrs.
Brampton to Cincinnati link:

Rx8 Guy is with me, and his coming so that make 8 cars.
