When this happens the adaptronic goes into 20% more fuel. Love the cat install. I can idle at stop lights and cruise without stink.
Awesome stuff, glad it all worked out!

It was a bare block by 2:30. Had to stop to pick up my son. Started it in the morning. Now I need time to open it up. Figure out what to do etc.

Now that you have passed emissions, port that sucker and remove cats.

Would a paintless dent repair work on that door ding?

Never porting a motor again. Will not pass emission or so I am told legally on a ported motor. Emissions has to be done every two years.

No the dent is on the crease.

Did you port yours?

A small streetport done specifically for it will pass Ian with the air pump and that cat you have...

No man here. The Rotary has made me bend over in a bad way. Porting is just more $$$. The pain must stop. I can't keep on using vacation and all remaining income on this. Want to move on. Like Dirt bikes for my son and it would be a better use of money rather then to the rotary gods. Bought new "used" S5 Big dowel font and rear, new gaskets to put it back together. $850 in parts. Now someone is insisting I put REC seals in her otherwise it will not last

Either way I think keep boost to 15psi and have a motor live instead.....

Ian, now that I've seen the finished product in person, I'm so impressed.

I can only imagine when you started this project, you had a timeline and budget in mind. Regardless of the hurdles, the extra time and extra money, you did not compromise on one thing, QUALITY, which is most important.

As time goes by, the hours and dollars will get fuzzy and forgotten, but each time people see your car, they will know you have a beautiful example of a showroom car.

Well done!

Thanks, Really appreciate the comments and the hood trim that we swapped. Only a few things left. Seats redone with new leather, air conditioner charge, fuel pump rewire, find a front lip and tune. Then drive..

Car now has close to 2000km.

Thanks guys. New engine is running great. I have over 2000km so far. its just not tuned professional yet at this point so only have boost set to cut at 6psi. Sort of harsh driving like that

So Ian, when are we going to get a chance to see your car out in the wild? I didn't see you at the Meeting of the Mazdas and was kind of hoping we'd get a chance to show off our Classic Auto paint jobs together at some point. I've got about 1,500km on mine now, I'm catching up!

I was at the porsche day at mosport. 170+ cars. DIdn't realize that many people had money. LOL.

Ya if I would have know I could have tried to make it out but busy. Took my son dirt biking saturday and porsche day sunday. Family life. LOL. I don't even go near my daughter if I drive the rx7. I need to burn my clothes each time I go out in it. LOL. Time to put the bling cat back on. At least after I get it tuned....
