Unfortunatly (well not really) but I'm installing my EMS that day, so there's no way in hell I can make it.

Unless it all goes /really/ well and for some reason I decide to drive out there on my fresh engine, ems, etc, etc... hahaha, probably not going to happen.

See everyone in ottawa!

Update from BEMC

Hi Guys. I’ve been away for a while putting together a race event etc. Glad to see everyone is still on.

The best plan for tickets is to print them off using the link http://www.casc.on.ca/comptkt They are also available at registration if you get to the track while it is open, Friday 5 to 8 p.m., Sat 7 am to noon and Sunday 7:30 to 11:00 am.

BE AWARE IF YOU SHOW UP AT THE GATE WITHOUT A TICKET MOSPORTS MAN WILL DING YOU FOR $15.00 SO DON’T FORGET TO BRING THEM.

For those who are at the track Sat and want to join us for the BBQ I will be by your camp area Sat afternoon to collect $5.00 per person.

For those who will be taking part in the lapping.
1 No need for helmets
2 Everyone must sign the BEMC Insurance waiver and wear the proper wrist band before being allowed on track whether as a driver of as a passenger. These are available at registration or I can bring them by the camp area Sunday Morning.
3 Minors under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian. If you are bringing someone else’s child you must get their parents to sign a waiver and bring it along.
4 You can download a copy of the minor waiver at the ASN Canada web site. http://www.asncanada.com/2006%20ASN%...r%20Waiver.pdf

See You on the weekend Bruce.

I was just wondering about the pace lapping. I have a fairly stock 88 and have never been on a race track. I just wanted to know what I would have to do to participate in the lapping.

Final Information

Just show up and follow the pace car led train out onto the track at lunch break on Sunday.

Just finalizing the location for the meet. It looks like the inside (infield) of Turn 8 works the best. It is a flat area for the meet with a track entrance that would allow us to pre-stage the cars before lunch. It is also close to the main entrance as well as easy walking distance to the pit area.

Take a look at the Track Map attached and it is the inside of Turn 8 also known as the Esses. The on-track action at this point is okay to look at as the cars appear at their maximum speed and sweep into Turn 8.

More later.

For the sunday meet, would anyone mind letting me tailgate them the way there seeing as I'v never been there before and I know i'm gonna get lost and end up going back home lol. I live up by Yonge & Steeles if anyone is passing by, or if someone could tell me a place to meet them.

Is there a group cruise that I could join up with on Saturday? I'll be picking up my brother in Orangeville. Who all is planning on camping/BBQ Saturday night?

Looks like I'm out. I was on a business trip this week and asked my neighbour to move my car out of the garage as weed people needed access to the back yard. Well, just got back and my car is flooded and won't start. I totally forgot to tell him to let the car warm up a bit before shutting it off. This is the first flood since I bought the car a couple of years ago, I tried all the flood procedures and nothing is working so looks like I'm getting a tow on Monday to Mazda Dealer.

I guess I would have been the only RX-8 on the track if my neighbour didn't flood my engine!!

Just waiting for the flatbed to take the car to the dealership...glad to here you all had a great time!

Although I wasn't able to make it, thumbs up to the organizers!!

Just wanted to give a big thanks to 23racer for getting this event setup. Had a blast, even if my fuel pump couldn't keep up on the back straight.
