Yeah, I really like that first lap. Cars everywhere.

Just checked on Mylaps and I pulled a 1:39.8 on the start lap. I doubt that you will be going anywhere near that fast but the hills and corners are the same. Trust me the last couple of seconds are the hardest.

Miata's would be fine as far as I am concerned. This meet should welcome everyone who is a fan of RX7's, not just those who own them.

As we get closer to the day, I will forward the information on how to get the free weekend tickets.

Wow, you guys are enthusiastic. I am very happy Eric brought this idea up and that we can help. I am looking forward to letting you all see how much fun 23Racer and all of us have been having at the CASC-OR Regional Races. For those that don’t know BEMC is The British Empire Motor Club and where formed in 1928 by 5 men with British Motorcycles. The club quickly expanded beyond British bikes to include all nationalities and both bike and sportscar competitions of all types. The second ever sportscar race in Canada was held by BEMC in 1949 and this May you are invited to join us for the 56th. running of this same event, The BEMC Spring Trophy Races.

Enough about us, I have to respond a couple of comments to this thread.

Eric - I haven’t checked my idea with Greg Beresford but if the car is there I am sure it’s doable.

Balzz / Noname - No need for Victoracers or any worry about keeping up. Laps will start with one at Parade speed and the rest while much faster will be nothing you can’t handle if you can handle the ramps off the 407.

Ian – If everything goes right with my negotiations with OMSC the participants in the Solo school will get a couple of laps on the “big track” Sat evening and also be invited to the BBQ

One last question, will you guys let me join the back of your parade with my S2000? : )

See You at the Track Bruce. BEMC Race Disorganizer, 2006

That would be sweet. That way I can hit up the solo1 school and yet have time to see the rest of the rx7 gang and for the first time ever get a lap on the big track at mosport

Bug bruce Gray from OSMC about getting this in motion

Thanks,
ian

Bruce, I am not sure that the Mazda guys would want to compromise the sanctity of the parade laps........ Oh yeah, you're the organiser. We would love to have your S2000 on the parade laps.

By the way I never got a chance to thank you and BEMC for working it out during the Indian Summer Trophy Races last fall to get my rig out of the track at Sunday Lunch Break, just after the FSAE lapping session. It was the only good point in an otherwise annoying day.

Again thanks for the enthusiasm on BEMC's part, now back to the shop got to get the ITB setup and the new motor together.

I call shotgun on someone's car since i'm 99% sure i'll be attending in a 3.3 liter dodge caravan and I doubt it'll be "at home" on a track lol

in deed it is a good idea... I still think we should also have a KW meet at least a week before this that way we can make our cars work properly for those that need the help. We can also do a bit of sell & trade as well. This would be a localized meet, ratehr then the full montey as mosport.

2k2miata is onto something there. All us guys from st.cat kitchner, hamilton waterloo, ect should all meet at one place then drive up as one....

This sounds awesome! I'm in for Sunday, I can't make Saturday as it's my wedding anniversary although it would be cool to!
