Jim,
Next year I get a ride-along with you.
I did get to go for a couple of sessions in S2000s. I drove a stock one around and it was very nice. Then I was in the passenger seat in the Ultimate-Racing S2000 - all I can say is I want one!

Wish I could have went out with you guys, I missed out on the fun that day due to issues which were mostly my fault lol. Finally fixed everything today though, just have to tune and should be ready for the next one

HOLEY CR@P!!!!!!!
You guys are going very very fast. Great Lines and carrying the speed into the corners. Only a few differences between my laps and yours, but wow the straight line speed is just awesome.
Great great driving and car prep.
I will bite my tongue on safety issues.

I totally understand Jim and I really can't say a word.
A number of years ago I was lapping around the Mosport big track at 9/10's in a Miata with R-Compound Kuhmo's on it. Everything was going well and I was doing 1:48's and having a ball. My crew chief was in the passenger seat and I was showing Al the line around Mosport and he was in my car.
I decided to pick up the pace a bit more and tried to take 2 flat. In between the first and second apexes, the car started to bunny hop a bit. No issues, I just opened my line a bit and eased off the throttle. It was only when I was out of the corner that I realized how close I came to flying off the track in a street car with no roof and no cage.
It drummed a little sense into me.
Now just some of the differences between my laps in the race car and the ones in the video. In 1 I just breath the throttle going in for a millisecond and then hard on it all the way through. It requires good tires and a good line. I am sooooooo close to going through 1 flat its not funny, but everytime I try it the back end steps out on the exit curbing and I end up in a tank slapper.
I am flat through 4 on a hot hot lap and only start my braking when the suspension is compressed going into 5. I understand the differences between my flat out and your "I need to drive the car home after this" approaches. i am just commenting on what I do to pull decent times out of my N/A car. Between 5a and b I only go out about 3/4 track. Any further and it starts to become diminishing returns as the track falls away. As soon as you get the front tires to stop sliding, I am at full throttle through the apex and hit the exit curbing a lot later.
At th end of the straight I hit the brakes a bit on the flat after the hill and aim for the first apex curbing. Almost a passing line. This shortens the track a ton, but you get a bit of a floaty feeling between the 2 apexes as you fight to keep the car against the right side of the track. You will slide out to mid track before pulling it back to the right at the exit of 8. I also use the tighter line through 8 to diagonal into the apex of 9 using the straight section of the line as a braking zone. Quite often I am carrying the drivers front tire in the air over the apex curbing in 9 as the back end tends to step out a bit. All in all I am taking most of the lap at 9.5 tenths with some parts at 10/10ths to get the car into the 37's with about 200 whp.
I dream of having straightline power like you guys have and the lines you are taking are absolutely spot on and impressively consistent. I really suggest that you guys try some wheel to wheel. Skill wise you are ready and I would have no issues running wheel to wheel with any of you in the video.
I would also feel safer knowing that if something were to happen, they wouldn't need to use the jaws of life to get you out.
