Thumbs up May 12 secret street meet

Who all wants to come to RaceCity's Secret Street on Friday May 12 (weather permitting ofcourse)? This should be plenty of notice for all! It's cheap fun for all, just $25.00 to race (1/4 mile or road course) or for spectators it's just $5.00. Yep "JUST $5.00", now that's a cheap night out! The spectator meeting spot for all will be immediately east of the concession entrance in the bleachers after the get together in the lot (for those who can't come until late). We should all try to park together as well, perhaps along the fence immediatley to the right after entering the lot. My guess is Cntrl, Nubian, Alak, myself and Niel will show. Hoping for some more as well. Hopefully Jim will have his running by then. We will update the list as the replies come in.

I might accually have my miata back by then. Break in the transmission with a couple gear grinding 1/4 mile runs.

I doubt Im that lucky though. Probably wont see it till end of the month.

I think Nubian wants to run his on autocross. He was kinda pissed that he couldn't make it out last week.

Why don't we all pull together, chip in a buck apiece so he can buy Jen some flowers in exchange for permission to go.

Last weekend his Yellow FC was towed so he had to bail it out of the pound.

Thats one badass FC.

I think Jen's more into shiny objects like ipods and other Apple Objects. We could chip in for an ipod shuffle or something.

Actually i think its $25 to dragrace and theres usually an extra cost to do auto-cross.. at least it was that way last year i think its like $20 extra, but i could be wrong.

last weeks (friday the 5th) they were paving the 1/4 from the water box to the end of the pits. about 20m. it'd like to see how it works. auto X course has been changed this year, suppost to be a LOT higher speeds. ie, the entire bank.

Ctrl, whtat time did i go by, i was there about 7pm and was able to see the smoke show from pissed of patrons not being notified! apperently the secret street phone line hasn't been updated since last october.

So, Dansuxx, Nubian, Dragoon, 84stock, Syritis, CSMcanuck, ctrl will all be racing and Alak will be there for support and video taping (lol, our cheerleader, lmfao!!!). That's not toooo bad. Remember this is for fun, you don't have to race all night long. We will still keep the spectator meeting spot immediately east of the snackbar entrance. Does anyone have Brett's phone number to give him a call as well??? How many have cobra's??? I am suggesting channel 7 for the track if any wanna bring them.........see ya'all there....let's see some support! Remember even if you don't wanna race, it's good entertainment for $5 as a spectator. We really hate to see skylines and neons as the only ones out there.

Secret Street just ain't my bag, but I'll come out the next time people have a meet of some kind. I'm probably going to fire my car up this weekend. Maybe even tonight if I can find time.

Nubian, I still have that book for you.

Well that's one more at least. Many peoply don't head out until after 7 anyway, so getting off at 7 is no big deal. Sean, what part of town are you in?? Maybe I can pick up that book and pass it to Chev (Nubian) on Friday.

I'll just spectate. Could, but don't want to race the car.

Would just like to chat with some other rotary owners.
