Looking for a rotary tuner in Quebec
The winter season is almost over. And many of us RX7 and RX8 owners in quebec are awaiting the moment for our beasts to wake up from hybernation.
I've noticed on www.clubrxquebec.com, a few people are gonna need an experienced or an expert rotary tuner to tune some cars this season. I am one of them. I am looking for a rotary tuner in quebec, but chances are we dont have one.
As a member from a local rotary community, I ask that someone can help me and others find a rotary tunner for 2009. Obviously I will try for Steve Kan and look for others. I have a Haltech E6X on my FC and I know there are 2 FD owners with Apexi Power FC. And those who do need a tuning please add your name to the list.

with all those that need a tuning (a whole bunch), i beleive bringing someone in Quebec wouldn't be a bad idea. Unless you know someone in GTA that is located there, where people can go individually instead of having someone come down for everyone.
hope that makes sense, it's getting late...

If you guys have enough people for a Steve Kan day, that would be a good option for you guys.
Otherwise, you come down to the GTA and I could tune your turbo rotaries one at a time.

Me personally, I would prefer having someone come down to Montreal or somehwere in the Quebec province. My car is still in storage for another 2 months and then I would have to call a towing to bring it to wherever I have to. Preferbly someone comes down here to Montreal or somewhere in the Quebec province.
Marco (at magnus, not thewird) is good, but best of luck getting him to tune your car.
If I was still waiting for Marco it would've been parked for a year and a half. As far as I know, I'm still "in que" waiting for him to do it.
I've heard the same from alot of people as well. Not that he's a bad guy at all, but he's apparently busy enough that he doesn't need the business or seems hes just not interested.
And I was going to drive down to him!
I can't imagine how long the wait would be for a rent-a-tuner out of town! haha

I guess being good friends with him helps, when I pull up the only thing I wait for is the car that's on the dyno to be finished. Marco is a hard guy to get a hold of but all you have to do is show up at his door and he will stay all night if he has too, to make sure your car is running right. I know he flys out to England a few times a year and also to the USA on ocassion but I guess it all depends on the $$$$$.

I think your best bet would likely be Steve Kan, or even BDC seems to make quite a few out-of-town trips. You'll very likely have to pay for flight, accomodations, and finally time and dyno rental. Unless there are quite a few of you (5-10+), it would likely get quite expensive. If you guys are doing that in Montreal area, or somewhere near, you could maybe recruit some people from Ontario to go for a tuning session. But, for that kind of price, it might be cheaper to get something to haul multiple cars and get a caravan going, or try to load in a base tune and limp it to them.
I'd probably be willing to drive over there later in the summer but not for the spring. Steve Kan or BDC might be your best bet to have someone come over soon.

the 2009 clubrxquebec tuning meet will cost about 1000$ per car for dyno tuning by Ari Yallon, owner and tuner from Rotary Performance (RX7.com)

I've been keeping contact with others from clubrxquebec.com. And it seems the 2009 quebec tuning season will be with Ari Yallon. No date has been confirmed yet.
