ClubRXQuébec - Sign up problem resolved!
Hi everyone,
Since September, we had a problem with the "sign up" page of our Forum. Nobody was able to register because of a glitch caused by a switch of servers...or something.
Anyhow, the "sign up" page is now fixed and all of you that sent me PMs (That I transferred to my e-mail contacts and that I then lost when my hard disk died) can now go right ahead and join the club. Please read the rules.
FEI, its a Rotary engine club for all rotary powered car owners that live in the Province of Quebec. No V8s discussions.

That is all, thank you.

Sounds exactly like asking for directions in English while in Quebec.

i don't have a problem with english being the main language in Canada but all i wanted to point out is why there is a club for the guys in Quebec.
Oh and all that hate from fellow canadians is probably part of it too.

No hating from this corner bud, I just have a bit of resent for a certain group of people in Canada that don't want to be a part of our country, have laws that enforce French to be the majority posted, spoken and written language, yet ask for accomodation elsewhere. I'm not saying all of Quebec fit this criteria, but many do.
All aside from the point, if these people learned english and posted on here, I would like to think the members would try to help them learn, and we would have that much more information to share! There are plenty of really nice rotaries in Quebec, that's for sure.

It's not all about the language, it's about the region too. It's easier for people from quebec to organize meets and and small events in quebec with the clubrxquebec. Also we can discuss about our local shops, laws, interests (Les canadiens de montréal
) etc. which often differ from those of the english canadians. As a proof to this point, someone just came here too announce the clubrxquebec is back open for registration, and he immediately gets flamed. Come on...
My english is far from perfect, but I think it's fairly good for a french guy. I think I'm way above the average french guy from quebec, and still sometimes I have problems when I try to describe a car problem precisely. For that reason, many people cannot get the help they need here, even if they do speak english, just lacking some vocabulary.
Anyways, the purpose of this thread is not to debate on the importance of having a rotary club in quebec, we already have one, the community is great and it's not about to change... and the registration is now open

Good thing the sign-up problem is solved.
We won't ignore you even of you post in english, BTW.
I like the local forum to keep in touch with the locals and not having to deal with out of topic replies (o:
