Hmmm...at first I thought you where joking. Then I realized you where serious(ly dumb)
What you are looking at is the inside of my Upper Intake Manifold. Its was just recently cleaned and beadblasted too.
This is my TB with throttle plates....
Notice NO

no, I was being serious, in a silly way. that polished one looks great though.
which one(s) is the primary, and which are secondary?
what rpm do they open at? or is it throttle related?

Primary = big fat guy, secondaries are the smaller dudes.
I believe they are throttle related, but I don't know at what % the secondaries kick in.

Which is funny because with the first gen carb, the primaries are smaller (because there are two of them and they open first, for lower RPM/Load) and the secondaries are bigger.
My, how confusing I'm glad I don't do FI.
Shiney things are nice though. Not one iota of carbon on those butterflies!
Jon
Edit: John, where did you get the beadblasting done?

the only thing making the EFI and carb setup different is the float bowl / venturi system of a carb versus the fuel injector spray of the EFI system. (of course there are more differences)

No, I was saying it was confusing because on FI
BIG = Primary (single butterfly for low load/RPM operation)
Small = Secondary
(but that's because there's only one "big" one, which I'd assume has a similar surface area to the combined area of the two primaries in the 4bbl carb)
and in the carb it's
small = primary (two smaller barrels for lower RPM/load operation)
big = secondary (two larger barrels for higher RPM/load operation)

The reason being that carbs need high velocity (and consequently, low presure) to work, so you need more restriciton at low vacuum/ part throttle.
FI works independantly of TB velocity. The single opening just makes it easier to modulate the changes in air flow, or said another way, makes throttle transitions smoother, increasing drivability.

Stop contaminating my Rice Thread with Tech Talk, geeks!!!!
I had my stuff beadblasted and powdercoated at Absolute Powder (1455 Michael Street, 742-6100). I can only recommend them. Good work, good service and good pricing.

Here are some more pics of work today. Installed my distribution block. This takes 0 AWG from battery and sends it to starter. It also sends 4 AWG to main fuse box, and will power my 2 efans with 8 AWG.
How do you connect a 0 AWG wire to the starter. With this 'Overkill' Series Stinger Audio connector lol....

Well, I got the car home last night.
I've got a few small issues, like the oxygen sensor not screwing into the bung correctly and a small coolant leak.
My basemap, with some tweaking, drove me home nicely. Now just need to tune with WB for Ottawa Meet
