You must all be youngsters in Calgary. I was born before the Spanish Civil War and taught to drive in my father's daily driver- a Bugatti type 44.

Dropped in on the Canadian Forum to see what odds and ends I can pick-up while visiting my son this year who is at McGill Uni. Last time I came over, drove extensively round Quebec Province for a month but did not see one RX-7.

Have owned numerous sports cars but my present RX-7, a 85 12A turbo efi, is the most enyoyable to drive and great classic lines.

LOL... that used to be an issue. But in this day and age it's trivial, what with modern medicine, viagra, plastic surgery, viagra, hearing aids, viagra, a wife 13 years younger, viagra, the mentality of a 20-yr-old, viagra, a new career, viagra, a pilots' licence and more viagra.

I figure that the next big step after reaching maturity is senility. Therefore, if I never act my age I automatically stave off senility, Depends, bedpans, wheel chairs and geezer expressions like "tarnation" and "by gum."

No worries here, nope. Besides, I was only born in 1962. It's not like I'm a 1959 model or anything.

Good God.
Am I the only person on this board who remembers where he was when JFK got shot?

Actually, I met a (much) older gentleman 2 years ago from Calgary who claims to have a red FD. Dunno if he knows what the Internet is or not though. Hope so. If he makes the meet, then I'm off the schnide.

I once took Viagra and then went for a drive in the 7. I let my wife shift.

Personally, I think chicks 'dig' us middle aged guys.

Just as long as I don't start smelling old and I'm still limber enough to
get in and out of my car without breaking a hip.

I hope you're not thinking of girls in their 20s

If you are thinking chicks in their 20s.... No offense to my middle aged friends here, but thinking that girls in their 20s dig you is a common misperception among many of you. I think I'll share a story just so you save yourselves (or some friends) some embarrassing incidents...

Just this past weekend I had a 44 year old guy try to kiss me... Once again, no offense, but most girls my age are in NO way attracted to guys in their 40s (with the exception of Tom Cruise, of course)! We like young, fit, fresher meat So, what happened after my middle aged incident? Well, I got a good story out of it to tell my mid to late 20 girlfriends ... We all went "Ew? What on earth was he thinking?" and laughed...

Once again, no offense intended... But many middle aged guys need a reality check! Ego seems to grow with age...

Ewwwwwwww...

No way. I know better than that.
Actually, 60+ women are the age group that find me attractive.

PS. You would have kissed him....if you were really, really drunk.
(I mean comatose-drunk)

Sophia's right. Younger girls are more attracted to young studs born in the same decade as them. (although they seem to make exceptions for older guys who can play guitar).

"But what about guys like Donald Trump, Jack Nicholson and Billy Joel?", you ask. Simple--- it's not these guys' bodies that the chicks are attracted by. Ever heard of the term "Trophy wife"? How about "Sugar Daddy"?

I think that with the right combination of ....

1. Sense of humour
2. Booze
3. Ambience or Atmosphere
4. Money
5. Booze

....that guys in their late 30's or early 40's still have a chance with the 20 somethings.

Of course you guys are assuming that ALL 40-plus year old guys actually are attracted to 20 something women!

No offense, but that is far from the truth. From intellect, to emotional intelligence to value-sets, I find nothing attractive in women of this age. Many - not all - are complete air heads and while they no doubt don't have the time for me, they shouldn't flatter themselves thinking that guys my age are somehow constantly drooling over them. Utter crap.

I was in my early 40s and married to a 20-something. But she turned 30 last month. (still looks and acts 20-something though).

The reason old guys are attracted to 20 year olds is because 'youth' in general, is beautiful.

That's why puppies are way cuter than dogs.

So how come men in their 40s constantly turn their heads and drool when a 20 year old pair of legs walks by

Don't worry Chris, I can handle your rejection... I'll only secretly with a voodoo doll put an ED hex on you

I hate that whole ED thing. They could've called it something else...

As far as 20-somethings vs 40-somethings..I had an encounter with a 20-something woman in a bar recently. She came up to me out of the blue and pressed herslf firmly against me and purred with the most provocative proposition you can imagine.
Now, had I been in my 20s, I'd be on the bus to woodyvillle. As a 40-something, my first reaction was 'hmmm you are likely a pick-pocket'. Sad, but true.

One positive thing about aging is this: all women your own age AND younger are attractive. So the older you get, the more women out there are pleasing to see.

So yeah, Sophia, us older guys will leer at your age group. But we're also leering at our own. That's a LOT more leering than a 20-something does

A gentleman does not frequent such establishments, dear.
