I Drove The XJR and Had a Religious Experience With a Ford GT
Drove my new XJR on Tuesday out in Vancouver. What a beautiful car. All the poise of a Jag but freakin' fast!!!! For those of you who know Vancouver I drove it on Kent between Manitoba east to the Knight Street Bridge. The car rode the bumps really well (electronically controlled suspension actually works!) and no squeeks, rattles or pops. As expected with a less than 50,000 kms car.
The really great thing was the power. The thing is the fastest big car I have ever driven. It goes from 50 kmh to 120 kmh faster and with less fuss than anything I have ever driven that weighed more than 2500 lbs. I love it!!!! Gotta love torque baby.
No if I can only find a lapping day at Mosport in November, hmmmmm..........
Also, the only way I can describe my experience with my buddy Tim's Ford GT is religious. Words fail me. A GT car for the street. Beautiful, fast, overwhelming almost animal like. It will pull more birds than any RX7. Only negative is that I had to keep tilting my head to the right to close the door and I am 5" 11".
Sorry, need to leave right now to buy some lottery tickets, I have been spoiled, no correct that, ruined for normal cars.
I lead such a boring life, LOL.
