Guys,

I am a moderator over the classifieds and feedback sections. I am trying to track down a guy in the Toronto area--more specifically, he claims to be in Caledon, ON L7C 1E1, Canada....but he also claimed to be from Brampton. He has ripped off one of our members, and has also ripped off other people on the web. Here is a feedback thread on this forum:

it would seem that Andrew Reston has been telling people the same story, but at different times. He told one of the members on our forum in February or March of this year that he was in a bad wreck--that his GT-R was t-boned and that he was in the hospital, needing surgery. And then, we find this--someone else is also looking for him for the same reason--he owes people parts or money:

Clearly he's playing games with people's money.

If anyone is local to him or knows him, could you perhaps let us know? We are just trying to get these guys what they paid for, or their money back. About a month ago, he listed some things for sale online and claimed to be from Caledon, not Brampton. Either way, his name is Andrew Reston. He claims to have had a red GT-R--the one that he keeps telling everyone he got into a wreck with. If any of you know this guy, could you please lend a hand?? Much appreciated!!

Thats got to be him....same silver FD and R32. There cannot be too many Andrew Restons in that area that would have a silver FD and a silver R32 GT-R. The wheels are different on the R32, though the FB photos were taken two years before the other ones. He needs to answer for running off with this guy's money....any help you can give would be greatly appreciated man...thanks!

 

Nice to see the community working to root out this scammer. I see from the kijiji ads ainked by RX7roller02 in the related thread that a Georgetown postal code is listed, along with the Caledon and Brampton ones mentioned before. They are in the same general area, but it strikes me fishy that he's posting different codes on different ads - maybe it's work and home addresses, or maybe it's just setting a false trail.

 

really? andrew came to my house to pick up burnout side skirts 5 month ago seems to be nice guy teaching me how to install ast,revits and ect.

 

I don't know that he is or isn't, but fourkruzn (Conroy) has a good rep here in Alberta, even though I don't know him personally, so having seen his earlier post in the Canadian section, then Buying and Selling feedback about not getting stuff he ordered from Andrew, and that he seems to be giving Conroy the runaround, and seeing others with similar sounding issues and run-arounds, but different time lines, makes it seem pretty clear the scammer label fits to my mind. Of course, people who scam others often are pleasant and charming; they know how to turn it on when they need or want something - and how to pleasantly defer and dissemble about why they don't do what is asked or expected of them.

I found out I have him on facebook.

 

I think 2fierce said that he knows the guy from school or something. I think its best a group of people go to find/meet this guy as we do not if hes violent or what.

 

Seems we have a few friends in common. Regardless, hope all turns out well.
