Well, I discovered the problem...the rubber gasket from the air box broke up and got sucked inside. I found part of it pinched in the throttle body's primary.
To solve the problem, I've got to recover the rest of the gasket. I'm pretty sure part of it is still inside because the car still smells like burning rubber. Based on the previous picture, the part I recovered so far is about 1/3 of the gasket. So hopefully the remaining piece is the remaining 2/3 as a big chunk and didn't flow down too far.
So where do you think it got hung up? Where should I separate and look inside? I've got no experience with this so...Should I just take the thottle body off and look down, or take the extension manifold off the block and look up? Or should I separate between the dynamic chamber and extension manifold. Either way, I'm gonna need to order & buy some new chamber/manifold gaskets, right? That's what the Hayes manual says...
I want to do this right, but I'm nervous cause I'm a novice. (Damn stupid air box gasket, pita)

You can take the whole Lower manifold Off,BUT you may encounter some coolant gushing out.
So in order to do this Right(IF you are gonna do it) Is to drain coolant and start taking parts off.
Get the Throttle body off(you know that is Good now)
and Since the Middle and lower are pretty well a "straight Shot" to the engine you would be able to HEAR if anything is in there. You could get a wire and push it through the Mani's to see if anything is stuck,
Now,when you have the lower manifold off, check the ports on the side of the engine,as that would be the likeliest spot that **** would get hung up.(oval holes).IF plastic was stuck then that would be the place, and since it is HOT,it would stink!
EDIT: some Guys have had Bolts drop down the Manifold with NO "ill effect"..I Personally Dropped an Injector Grommet.,I got it AT the opening to the Housing.I wanted to Make 100 percent sure that it wasn't gonna be Inside the engine.
So.it is Fugget about it!..or take the engine apart..it is Up to you.
GET a Second Opinion too. That always helps!

Well, on the weekend I got daring and started taking things apart.
I took off the throttle body, dynamic chamber and upper intake pipes as a unit. I left the lower intake manifold mounted to the engine. I looked inside for part of that damn rubber gasket, but I didn't see it. So I split the dynamic chamber from the upper intake pipes, but it wasn't there either. And then my wife asks, "why are you doing this??"
Well, I can't find it and I'm tired of searching. I figure it's only soft foam rubber and if it is any deeper inside, it will probably melt, disintegrate and dissipate without causing damage. So once I get it all back together, I'm gonna take the car for a long hard run and get it really warmed up and melt whatever is left and put it behind me.
Otherwise, do you think that foam gasket can cause major damage as it breaks down.
