Emissions help or suggestions
Well I failed my emissions test yesterday pretty badly; the r-tard who was doing the test almost overheated my car and also might have got into boost during the dyno test. Attached are the results of my 2008 test and 2010 test; nothing has changed setup wise on the car since the 2008 test that it passed. Judging by the different RPMs I would think they were done in different gears.
Any suggestions would be appreciated; I only have 2 days left to get it to pass otherwise it goes away for a while.
Also does anyone have any suggestions of places to have it retested around the Oakville area; just looking for somewhere that will be aware about trying to keep the car out of boost during the rolling test.
Thanks.

Wow who did the test?
I have had very good luck with Jeff at SE Auto Sales on Speers out near 3rd Line. He did my Jag in 2008 and was very careful to keep it out of boost. The readings were in the 0.0 range for a couple of readings. This time I went to Dynamic Auto on Speers and the operator couldn't get the tank to seal, couldn't get an rpm reading and when he tested the car I know he got into boost as the intake moaned a bit. If you go there, tell him I sent you, his dad is my race engineer and Jeff is pretty sympathetic in operating.
I still passed in 2010, but it was not reading zero's any more.

I wonder if they are allowed to use cruise control on those tests. That should ensure you don't go in to boost. Also couldn't you disconnect one of the lines to stop it from boosting prior to the test?
Also how did he almost over heat the car? They don't run for that long, and usually have a big fan blowing air on the car.

I had it tested at express test emissions in Mississauga. The operator left my car idling for 15 minutes without the fan blowing, he kept leaving to go talk to walk in customers - only 1 person working. I was not happy with that place and will not be going back.
I will try SE Auto Sales on Speers for my retest; I would like to be able to connect my laptop to my powerFC and datalogit so I can datalog during the test as I also have a wideband connected.
