Thanks everyone! It was a good day, despite being stuck at work again. Oh, where has the summer gone? Sigh...

Looking forward to some track time next weekend. Although, I think I may have to swap in a new tranny before then.

N worries Buggy. I didn't get around to it today. Too much union work got in the way.

Sorry John. It was looking like it wasn't going to get done in time for Sunday's lapping at Mosport. There was no way that I was going to be able to do it in the driveway. A car lift is definitely the way to go with this. Fortunately, Chris came by on Saturday and we used his dad's lift. It took forever as we apparently chose the wrong tranny from my "parts bin". We were trying to wrestle it in when we discovered that the mount was slightly different and the shifter was located a full inch back. Luckily, he had one on hand. It works like a champ, has better venting for the clutch and is very notchy compared to what was pulled out. Looks like it would have been a one way trip to the track as the old tranny had a crap load of play in it and was getting louder by the hour. It had a slow leak that may have caused the upper portions of the tranny to starve. The new one also runs a lot cooler too. The old one used to throw a lot of heat up through the boot. I should also thank Buggy and Dave for their offer of lending a hand. There's no better group of guys around than rotorheads.
