The trip we took to Sylvan Lake yesterday in my wife's GSL 12A was 500kms round trip--- on one tank of gas. The guage was reading in the red and the low-fuel light was on. Cost to fill at 1.09 per liter was $61. This sounds to me like a 55-liter tank when we consider that both fill-ups went to the top of the filler neck.

You've gotta remember that cars were (supposed to be) designed to have the low fuel light and show empty with a reserve left in the tank to keep you from being stranded. The true test to see the capacity of a fuel tank is to run it dry so that the engine stalls out. Not recommended of course for obvious reasons.

I've never got fuel economy that bad.

wow, 30L/100km.

with the halfbridge I get 300-400KM/tank, with a 50-55L fill (Iusually fill up around 1/8 left)
with my '85 GS I get 400km per tank, with a 40-45L fill.

S4's have a 64L tank, S5's have a 70L tank, FD's have a 76L tank.

I've put over 60L of fuel into my 10AE before and I put over 70L into my FD, but only once or twice.
