Well as you can see, she's on the road and running pretty good. Having some issues right now with the clutch master and slave cylinder. Gonna have to order new ones tomorrow. Also need to get a different coolant temp swith for my rad fan. The one I bought decided to crap out after it kicked on once. Also have a few small leaks to take care of and get my gauges mounted.

Another thing too, anyone know where I can get a silencer for the back of a 4" exit magnaflow muffer??? I can foresee that exhaust note getting annoying quick.

Make sure you dont have a loose wire that would cause that switch to blow up as soon as it turned on.

I love your car... Can I be picky?

* little Lower
* 15, MAYBE 16in wheels, 7in or more wider
* different exhaust, or repositioned differently.
* Are you missing sideskirts?
* black tack-on overfenders

Other than those things... lol! I do love your car. oh man, awesome.

How much current does the fan draw? Maybe some momentary arcing killed the switch (if you didn't do this already, maybe you can have the switch activate a good quality relay which in turn activates your fan).

Regarding the muffler, I'd actually put on a quieter dual-tip muffler. I have a weakness for dual tip mufflers.

I am thinking about swaping out that magnaflow muffler for a racing beat one. Should quiet life down a bit. As for the fan switch, it's already wired up with a relay. I wired it the exact same way, using the exact same components as I did on my Rx-7 with no problems at all. When you test the switch it has continuity at temp, but it just won't activate the relay. I think it's just a bum switch.

Don't worry, this isn't the end of this project. I still have a GSL-SE suspension/differential swap in the works. That should lower the car nicely. Also at that time, TII/GXL 2nd gen brake and hub swap, some sort of 15" rims and tires, and any other suspension mod I can think of. The car is missing the stainless mouldings along the bottom at the moment. I have them ready to go on, but just didn't have time to put them on yet. This car is FAR from done......

Do you want a flexalite electric fan controller? I'm taking mine out and wiring the fan directly to the haltech. Let me know!

PS: Car is amazing.

I've got a new switch comming tomorrow, I'll send the other one back for warranty. Thanks for the offer on the fan controller though. If this switch doesn't work I may be interested.

Well, it isn't looking good for the Rx-4 making it to the Sherway meet. I haven't had any luck getting a clutch master cylinder locally. I had to order it off of ebay and I doubt it will make it here by the weekend. I have a slave cylinder comming tomorrow so hopefully that will fix the issues. I know it is leaking for sure, just not too sure about that master cylinder being any good either....

I truely think that the master cylinder is okay. I pulled it all apart, cleaned it, inspected the seals, and cleaned the cylinder bore with some 600 grit paper. You can bleed it and get an awsome pedal, but if it sits I'm thinking it weeps past the seals in the slave cylinder and air gets in the system. I'm going to try the new slave cylinder tomorrow and see what happens.

I think it's all better now. I put the new slave cylinder on today, and I also extended the slave push rod by about an inch so it doesn't have to travel as far. The clutch feels awesome now. Just gotta drive it and try it out. That's the fun part.
