First Fire of the season

started it up tonight... New front rotors and pads, and a new line in the rear to replace my "widowmaker" fix from ottawa last year... and not much else. Started up great, although it looks like the alternator is not working (may have unplugged it accidently...)

Either way, I am going to need new pads in the rear shortly, and then it is going to be an awesome summer.

When is everyone else getting on the road?

that's awesome. it seems like the weather is cooperating this year to allow an early start.
my car is coming out shortly after i finish those pesky final exams. one more year of this and i get a ring for my hard work...
anyway, last week of April i think for me. can't want for the eye-burning sensations as i let her warm up and walk around for an inspection.

If you are planning on using your ring to open beer bottles, 2 tips:

1. Don't try it on twist offs, it does not work
2. Never, NEVER on a bottle of guiness. The extra pressure from the widget turns the cap into a bullet!

Hehe that's good advice. I did #1 on iron ring night, my finger got cut open

Do you fogging oil your engines? Did you get nice clouds of smoke when you started them?

This weekend I'll get the oil changed and the spark plugs changed. She'll fire right up. Insurance goes back begining April 1st.

Hope to get a few days of heavy rain fall to get rid of all the sand around my neighborhood.

I knew right from the start opening a bottle with your ring, while still on your finger, was a bad idea. You live and learn...

Lates,

I don't fog the engine, just a heavy load of 2-stroke, and some MMO in the chambers.

It was definitely smoky last night. Doing my part to end west nile.
