Fired up the 1/2 bridge...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ozpit8NtGE
Its loud
Idling VERY high there. No tune whatsoever, just got it to hold a steady rev and thought I'd snap a quick video.
Its missing a little but I'm sorting out some fuel delivery issues...
And that turbo is the small guy - have a T04-R en-route for once I have ran the engine in
Enjoy........and please for the love God - crank your speakers!!

Thanks Nik, I'll try lowering the bars on the zero throttle map
To be honest I haven't figured out whats up with the system yet. I was going to do some more evaluation last night but I ended up ditching that once I had it fired and idling. I just checked it all over for leaks, got it up to running temp, loadedsome values for the e-fans and tried to bring the idle down a bit.
The only way the car will run is either in multi-point or batch mode, and in batch mode I can tell it DUMPS gas, then nothing, DUMPS, then nothing. The wide band goes from 10, then it'll rev a bit, then goes to 17, then starts to die and back and forth. Multi point mode is what you see in the video.
I'm going to verify that I have the correct number wires going to each injector and load 1.26 and go from there.......I'm still boggled.
Question though, if I adjust a fuel map while its running, does it make the adjustments in real time? or do I need to restart the Haltech? I couldn't see that my changes were being inputed in realtime but I could be wrong......
edit: exhaust is custom 3" with a hollowed out cat (and EGR still!! lol) and 1 resonator and a giant *** ricer muffler of unknown origin.
What you don't see in the video is the fresh air supply helmet I'm wearing j/k

No problems with the engine itself. I mean, it had about 2psi of oil pressure at idle - but its OK I only made 7 or 8 10K pulls with it. It'll be fine....../sarcasm off lol
No Joe, tis all fine

In sequential mode my car is really hard to start. In batch mode it start ok.
Funny you had such a hard time to start your car. Mine took me forever to start it. Had some weird issues. (timing, fuel, "pending wb reading" etc) Converting from E6K to E8 (Should be same map) it did not start right away.
Congrads on getting her running.

Everybody has issues at first, just about... Once you get it dialed in it's just bulletproof. Mine has been good for 3 years now.
The zero throttle map is a nice idea, but it won't work if you use a BAC valve or anything like that. You really shouldn't need zero throttle map...

Well, that vid was from as soon as it idled....after it was up to temp for a while the vac started to drop.
Anything's possible, but I actually think my gauge is in a poopy spot to read from The haltech was logging deeper vaccum then my gauge even right from the first few seconds of running...... Plus it was at about 2200RPM there.....
But I'm going to do some tests for vac leaks because I still can't bring the idle much below 1900 - 2K.......and in a map based system the idle will just be high with a vac leak right?
Sure man, you know where to get a hold of me

Glad to hear your car will be out soon! Look forward to seeing it, and the next time I'm at the track down there I'll def stop in at your shop.

Joe (x2) the car sounds great and congrats on a nice looking setup. i am shocked that you resisted the urge to blip the throttle a couple of times.
One really weird thing is that the car sounds just like mine, just a bit softer and quieter, LOL. Also on the oil pressure thing. Mine went to 110+ psi on first start up and has stayed really high on initial startup ever since. When hot and I mean hot (like after a 3 hour race) I have over 70 psi at idle and it climbs instantly to 110+ with every throttle pickup.
I have that soft poppy sounding idle as well. I just crackle a bit more due to more compression and no turbo.
Great work.
Eric
