Well, one of your problems is that, if as you stated you used Crappy Tire camp stove fuel, you put in neat naptha, which is light run gasoline, unadulterated.
You should have put in almost pure alcohol !
Try again, and use some of the other posters modifications. I know it aint easy,

one other thing you said that your tank was almost empty when you put the alcohol in, my '88 NA has a 63L tank but if I fill it when the needle just get's to E I still have ~10L left in the tank so you might not have been nearly as empty as you thought. how long after you replaced the cat did you etest it, cats need a little time to break in (couple days to a week). You're so close I'm surprised the new cat didn't pass you.

E- Test BS is like being in the delivery room waiting for your first born child.
Just a tax grab on the workin man.

I'm having the exact same emissions problem as you logan. How do you set it? I see the haynes manuel saying how to take it apart but not set.

On an S5 car it's electronically controlled, so I don't think you can fiddle with it as much on an S4 car. Is your car an S4?
What I did, from under the car:
- take the return spring off the actuator
- disconnect the actuator rod
- lube the actuator and work it open-close-open-close-open-close for a long time
- reassemble and ensure that when I open it that the return spring closes it

Well just because it's an S5 doesn't meet the MOP can't be fixed.
Crawl under the car and have a look at it, it could be stuck open too. You'll just have to get creative to see if you can get it working again...

I passed! I used that gurantee pass stuff and bought a new O2 sensor. Ripping it on the highway for an hour and redlining dropped my HC by about 33%, thanks for your help guys.
