I think he means the oil additive or cleaning agent the lube shops try to get you to buy when changing your oil. You run the car with this stuff in it just prior to draining the oil.

I don't use it. Nothing beats frequent oil changes.

OP, next time a few more words explaining your thoughts might get you better responses. (leave the text speak for texting)

Never heard of it? What exactly does it do? Thin the oil so it comes out better? But yah, nothing beats frequent oil changes

I don't think rotaries have that problem considering our oil usually gets diluted with gas over time. I wouldn't spend my money on a product like that. Just change your oil more often if you want to keep it clean.

Also, just thought of something, if that thins the oil, that means some of it would be left over in the oil coolers and lines even after an oil change so the new oil might be degraded because of it.

You shouldn't notice anything unless something was seriously wrong with your previous oil lol

+1. Idea on piston engines is to remove varnish, and gunk that accumulates in the head/valve cover. Basically adds solvent to your oil. Really wouldn't use it in a rotary: they suffer none of the issues the flush is supposed to fix anyway, and I'd be a little concerned some of the solvent will remain in the OMP circuit.

If you buy a better oil brand in the first place it normally does a better job at keeping things cleaner.

You asked the same question and got lots of responses in your other thread. Maybe you should read it.
