E-test

Does anyone know a place local to Barrie or somewhere in the GTA that would do fake etests? Information about costs would be appreciated as well.

wow... this is ridiculous. I`m pretty sure that no one is going to respond to a thread like this on an open forum and sell out any connections that they might have. Throw a cat on it and pass legally, or lower the thing so far that they can`t get it on the rollers.

Especially when an operator with emission equipment faces a $250,000 fine and the owner of the vehicle would receive a $50,000 fine, any shop offering such services to customers is looking for big trouble and will be found out.
Worst post ever, should be removed!

meh, found a place through this thread anyways. But lowering it does seem like a good alternative.

If the place is legit and they can't get it on the rollers then you can't register the car. They will fail you or turn you away.

actually if i'm not mistaken, if it's too low to get on the rollers, they just do a 2 stage idle test. with the sniffer in the tailpipe, of course. Not like the B.S. diesel tests

I love how illegal the topic is on a forum full of lawyers.

I have another alternative. Move to Alberta.

I have an easier alternative. Buy a car older than 20yrs old. +1 for no e-test requirement

Isn't it 15? I thought I was done with the e-tests.

20 years old Wird..but I am Certain they are doing away with that now too shortly.I squeaked in,in 2006 with my 86.,.last Year to do the 20 year is 2007..so 2008,I think they won't let a 1988 go through without Etest..but Make sure.Phone the MTO Vehicle licencing bureau and make sure ahead of time. That way it will make you Aware of what you are up against,so you don't get a surprise.

Well if it's the dumbest post ever, don't answer to it. It appeared that someone had a shop to suggest, so I decided to ask. I didn't get a response, which wasn't surprising to me, so who cares?

Better idea--I don't buy plate stickers. Mine says 06 and I don't care about that either. Ontario has BS laws and it's becoming a crappy place to live as a car enthusiast to say the least. If they want money, they can spot the 06 on my sticker, pull me over and give me a ticket. Then I'll fight it in court and waste everybody's time and money. Still better than going through the e-test BS.
