ON dirty fd!!

i think its time my fd needs a good cleaning!! looked under the hood this morning, and man is it filthy!! does anyone know where a good reputable detailing shop is?? i dont really trust any blow joe with my car,as i had bad experiences with my other car i took to an ordinary detailing shop. they flooded the engine!!
i think i want the works, wash, buff, wax, detail interior, engine shampoo etc.
any idea on prices for this service? im in the hamilton area, so hopefully somewhere local.
any info would b appreciated! thanx.

get some degreaser, spray on, let soak, then wash off. repeat as many times as necesary. your an fd owner, u should be doin all maintenance, repairs, cleaning waxing etc etc yourself.

I know a lot of FD owners that would rather pay someone, so they can keep their hands clean.

If you're looking for the total works, you're going to pay $150 or more. There's a place on Barton just east of Grey Road that will do a decent job. I sent my car there after it had been stored with mothballs for 6 months (think the B. that escaped the O. in Seinfeld ) Cost about $115 but it had never been that clean inside or out. They even kept it over night and then picked me up at home in the morning so I could pick it up. Super nice people.

I agree, though: unless you've got a major problem like a smell that won't come out, do it yourself. It's way more fun that way.

Oddly enough I hate cleaning pretty much anything....except my car. Don't be afraid to get your hands a little dirty. It'll make you that much prouder to own and drive her. One of the first things my ex was impressed with about me was the car I was driving at the time was so clean inside. Just think of the possibilities

If you're in the GTA, then get a hold of picus on this board. He owns GTA in Detail:

http://gtaindetail.com/

I've never used him but I chatted with him on a thread and a few PM's and he was helpful and knew his stuff.... here's that thread:

It's probably worth a call to see if he can hook you up!
