calgary: vacuum leak

anyone want to help me find a vacuum leak for my car? me and c-murder have been trying to find it but have failed to do so. we definitely hear it though. we hear it somewhere near the back of the engine bay. we tried spraying some carb cleaner everywhere but nothing happens.

On the back of the n/a manifold, if memory serves there is a intake air valve which always sounds like a vacuum leak, its got a plastic round cap on the inlet..

i live in dalhousie right now, panarama hills next month. i have an 87' turbo. will check the hoses tmr or monday afternoon when i am done exams, though i don't recall any small hoses attached to the tmic when we took it apart today. we knew there was a vacuum leak, the hissin sound was our way of trying to get a rough idea of where it was.

use wd40, it'll get sucked in and rev up, but keep it away from the exhaust for fear of flames.

i take it back about the tps not affecting the idle...........the screw fell off again and i have 2.5k-3k idle. at least it idles lol. but to add on to the super slow dropping of the rpms during shifting. i must shift high up or it'll just sit at 2.5k-3k.
