You'll have to tow it, I just want it out. The body is **** so dont be looking for fenders or quarter panels.

Im buying another seven soemtime next year when I can afford to do more work on the thing.

Yet another update, this one current as of Oct. 31st/ 05:

The previously-mentioned gold-colored '88GX is still there but getting more and more picked over. Tranny, rad, oil cooler and alternator are now gone, as is all of the instrumentation and fenders. The left rear quarter panel has also been hacked off. The engine and intake system are still there as well as the (non-LSD) rear diff and brakes, windshield, rear hatch and seats (burgundy).

The '81 base that was there is now gone, but has been replaced by a gold '83 base model. The oil cooler on this one is of course the crappy "beehive" type, and I've scored the ignitors, but the transmission, instrument cluster and engine core are still there. The engine appears to be toast though.

And Manntis: what year was the 1st gen Chrysler Daytona/ Laser produced until? I know they started in '84 but I'm uncertain of when they changed up. No luck today finding a power mirror. There were four Lasers in the yard, but two were missing the LH mirrors and the other two were there but with destroyed plastic outer shells. Apparently the rocket scientists that tried to remove them didn't know that the mounting screws must be removed from inside the car.

lol, im gonna cut it nice! really. Im going to try and fix the damage in the pic. cut out the metal above the tail lights and weld in the donor. and on the bumper just sand and fill. my friend works at an auto body shop and said he will paint it and help in the process.

I figure with the money the other guy is paying me i can try an learn how to use my dads welder and buy some more tools for my collection.

Im extremely suprised the bumper didnt get deformed what so ever. a guy was turning around me in a parking lot and just didnt make it! its kind of funny because this particular side (well the bumper) has been hit 2 time before this incident(strike 3 lol). but no major damage except buffing the paint up.

free S5 tail light

you should be glad his vehicle was not a tiny bit higher, you might have lost the whole back hatch, now that is worth crying over

Another update, this one current as of Friday, December 30th, 2005:

There are absolutely NO RX7s from any generation at Calgary Pick 'n Pull at the moment--- none, zero, zilch. Save your loonie, time and gas.

They usually get new (to them) cars brought into the yard on Fridays, so there likely won't be any RX7s before Friday, January 6th, 2006 at the very earliest.

Here's yet another update, this one current as of January 15, 2006:

No first gens in the yard, but there is an '87 GXL that is virtually untouched--- so far. (I say "virtually" because somebody has already scooped the stereo, power window switches and the console panel just aft of the shifter).

The car is light metallic blue with dark blue leather uphoulstry and the odometer reads 290,000 km. Transmission is automatic, but the rest of the drivetrain is also there including the engine and suspension. Rad and oil cooler are also still there and the glass looks to be in decent shape. The passenger seat is worn, but the drivers' seat is still in not-bad shape--- a little scuffed on the left side bolster but not worn through or torn.

The body has rust in the usual places, but all lights and lenses are intact. The exhaust however, is not all there. I didn't crawl under the car, but I could only see the left muffler--- the right one was MIA.

Update on the 87' GXL:

No front calipers or Rotors/Hubs. Rear is intact.

No Front wheels, but the rear ones are sitting in the hatch.

Pretty good shape otherwise, except the leather seats in the interior are a little ripped up.

exhaust is missing passenger side muffler, but the pipe is a downpipe, and straight to the muffler with a factory header (no cats).

Driver side door is bent up and the door handle is missing.

Alternator looks very new.

Has PS, A/C.

No Oil-cooler lines, but the cooler is still there.

No flash to pass lenses.

Both front fenders look in good shape.

No obvious body damage.

I took the time to post this much info because its hard to come by these this time of year.

Bucks has an 87 light blue FC in their pre-staging (can't touch, just peak through the fence) area which may hit the yard this weekend.
