I am looking for someone in the Mississauga/Oakville/Burlington area that can look at the radio/amp in my 1988 Rx7 convertible. Want to leave the OEM stereo if at all possible. I believe amp, or connections, are the issue.
Any recommendations? Thx.

sounds like s loose connection as the sound (and static) is intermittent...

 

Any work done around the stereo area lately and is it all stock speakers

 

Please list exactly what the problem is. What it always like this? Did it suddenly change after you installed/removed something?

I just bought the car a couple of weeks ago. The previous owner told me there was an audio issue before I even test drove it. So it has been this way for some time.
I don't mind changing the amp and speakers - as long as the stereo unit and grills will remain stock!
Is there any local shops anyone can suggest that I can trust my summer toy with???

 

Kromer Radio I trust although it's a bit of a drive out of Oakville... deal with Marcus if you can, but he mostly deals with dealer items...
Mass Electronics has a good record with our dealership as well, but it depends on the installer they send you.

 

I wonder if they can realign and repair my cd player laser....
