82 fb appraisal?

Is it necessary to get an appraisal done to get an 82 fb ownership changed over?

how does it work in ontario? is it 25 years old or older, appraisal necessary?

if so, anybody have any recommendations where i can get one done cheap?

I heard 20 years, but the lady at the MTO office was "slow" and couldn't help me or point me to where to get what is required for registering a 20 year old or older car... You would think people have gone in there and registered an older car before, but no, she just looked stunned. MTO website is useless too!!

If it's 20 years or older you need an appraisal to change the ownership to your name. I know this from experience. Any car dealer can do appraisals, but some just refuse to do so for some reason.
