ON Appraisal in Ottawa

I asked almost 2 years ago, but as you can see I guess it wasn't a priority. I'm wondering if anyone knows who I can get a decent appraisal from for my Rx-7 (FD3S)? Preferably someone local to Ottawa. I'm looking for someone who will appraise on resell value with modifications (or without) but knows the value of a well-taken care of "collector" car. I don't want a dealership or other generic appraisal.

Thanks for any info!

I'm assuming you're doing the appraisal, at least in part, to be able to insure your car for the proper value. If that's the case, the best way to go is to ask your insurance company for the appraisal companies they accept appraisals from.

Other than that, I haven't looked into mine, I'll be getting it done next year, but I'm also across the river in Aylmer so I'll probably be getting it done on the Quebec side since my insurance company more than likely won't accept an appraisal from Ontario

Got mine done in Ottawa from "Grandpa's Garage" after a reccomendation from Will. I think it was $135... well worth it!

Thanks for the advice guys. I will check in with Grandpa's Garage if it's still around. I'd deal with my insurance company's appraiser but I imagine they will appraise low because they won't want to pay out as much...especially on an older vehicle. I'd like to get it appraised as a "collector" vehicle if possible.

I have to do the same thing shortly... my insurance wont even cover me for collision anymore without an appraisal.
