I also got this cool joint from AutoMeter!
Oil Pressure
Oil Temp
Water Temperature

Warning lights are REAL important to me! I don't need to be reading gauges when I'm sideways at 60mph!

Thanks, WildBill!

I got the hood back on. I needed this just to help me realize how close I am to being finished.

Dear Lord! I didn't realize how long it had been since I had posted an update!
Well....
I got a turbo 2 aluminum hood.

Just kidding. 😂 That's not the only update! I bought a newer ECU. I bought a Haltech Elite 550. And threw in some LS coils. I had a shop wire in the 550 and immediately realized that I should do all of my own wiring. A couple things were done wrong and I had to wade through quite a bit of troubleshooting to figure everything out.
Anyway, I got the car to fire and run. Worked a bit with Cesar Hernandez, based out of Phoenix, to get the tune really close. It is so smooth and fast! I'm on 12psi, currently. Still needs more tuning.

Also....
Big aero kit!

And most recently...
A Big Country ****!

I've been driving it a whole lot! 4 and a half years of working on this thing, worrying about it not running and wondering if I would ever be able to drive it again. It's over. 😊

Next is paint and more tuning. Then, I will focus on the inside. Right now, the inside is very half-***. The gauges put off a nice warm glow at night, but during the day you can see all the blemishes.

Then, I was going to drive it up to Phoenix and finish getting it tuned. Alas, the transmission busted.

No biggie. I have replacements. I'm going to throw in the Turbo 2 trans. We'll see how long that one holds up.

Oh crap! It's 2024 and no updates in 2.5 years. Lame. Sorry.
So.... The transmission wasn't busted. One of the driveshaft u-joints locked up and broke.
Regardless, I swapped in a T2 trans, with a custom driveshaft from Kyle Mohan racing, I think.
I also upgraded to an ACT clutch.
ALSO, I painted the car in my garage.

Also, also... The enging gave up on the dyno. Sad face.
I had it rebuilt by Cesar Hernandez in Phoenix. He also street ported it and got it back to me super quick! Less than 2 weeks!
Put the car back on the dyno at LSR Performance, in Sierra Vista. The tuner there has 2 FD's, one that has made 500hp and seen tons of racing and track time for 9 years on the current motor build!
Having no knock detection on the Haltech Elite 550, the tuner didn't want to push it. I'm currently making 282hp at 8lbs of boost on 91 octane.
I've driven the car in a couple of drift events. With the exception of a bit of side to side fuel starvation, it runs really well and it's crazy fun!
