i have the same mazdaspeed **** as chinaman. it is the 4th **** i have bought in the past 6months and i like it. i tried a different mazdaspeed ****, rx8 ****, and a momo **** and its the only one ive liked enough to keep. its kinda light but the shape and look of it make up for what it lacks in weight. if it were as heavy as the stock **** it would be absolutely perfect.

I have Gordon Monsen's old shift ****, his was the prototype that Voodoo Racing made up. Here's a link that should help you purchase one, they're $140 new (polished Ti---you'll want the miata/rx-8 one, it fits the FD):

http://www.teamvoodoo.com/Voodoo/Applications.html

It's pretty weighty and heavy, I love it. With my B&M short shifter changing gears is a breeze and I haven't missed one yet.

If you don't want to spend the cash for the Ti ****, you can always get one of the aluminum ones, they look similar just weigh less
