NorIda 10thae
First time doing a build thread with this car. Nothing has been started quite yet, I just got married a month ago and now we're avidly searching for a home in the Coeur d'Alene area (North Idaho). A good friend of mine is a sales rep at Steel Structures of America and we're able to have a 32x40x12 shop put in at cost along with my wife's dad being an electrician so the plan is to get everything done the way we've been hoping right off the bat.
I had a 1988 SE shell a few months back and the plan was to swap my 351w over to it since it was sitting around. I randomly put it up on Craigslist to see if I could make a little money. The day before, my sales buddy told me his friend had an RX7 that I should go look at. Low and behold it was a 10thae, rebuilt motor, never cranked over, just sitting in the backyard. Sold the '88 SE for $500 and picked up the '88 AE for $500.
I was pretty happy as the car came with a huge variety of extra parts and every motor accessory to put it back together. I'll post some pictyres here in a bit and continue the story.

I picked up this chassis in September and took it straight to my storage unit, this is the day it was picked up.
Typical 10thae primer issues with flaking top coat. The metal seems to be in ok fashion with small dings here and there. I'm always interrated in interiors so I was happy to see that everything was intact (besides a broken center vent) and all it needed was a good cleaning.
Moved my way into the rear of the car to find all of the motor accessories as well as some brand new bits the original owner was going to use after the motor rebuild.
Brand new Godspeed radiator and reman'd 550cc injectors.
And of course, the heart of the car. Unfortunately, the car had been stored outside but always with the hood on. Obviously the motor is dirty but it is rebuilt, just not sure which parts were used. I've got plans to get some life back into the seals as well as free any stuck apex seals.
Luckily, a buddy of mine just picked up an '87 t2 with a cracked rear iron and sold the motor and trans to me for $350. The next day, another friend helped out by flowing me a good s4 4 port rear iron. I'll be tearing the 2nd t2 down to do my first rebuild and try my hand at porting.

A long time later, it's finally time to pull this car out of the storage unit and into its new home.
Pictures and documentation of rebuild coming soon.

MICKEYTFC - Plans are pretty minimal with the engine in the car. I'm getting ready to pull it, open her up and get everything resealed. Hoping to do some fun stuff with the new engine.
Clokker - Haha, I "had" some random t56s sitting around. Sold off most of my LS stuff and that was my last t56.
