Did some work on the hood today. Also learned a bit how to use bondo.

The hood vent shroud was bondo'd to the hood. I broke the bondo and cleaned it off, looks much cleaner 2pc.

My FD alt charges at 14.2 volts even below 3k rpm once the car has been running, and has done so for the last 4 years (and I bought it used). I have nothing against cheap an effective mods but if you have a working FD alt, theres no reason to jump ship. And lets be honest, the Taurus alt while effective, is ugly
:
I believe he was exaggerating the point of revving to 6k, but regardless waiting for the fd alt to turn on is a bit inconvenient. I also have an fd alt and when keeping the revs low or at idle, its a struggle to keep above 13 volts with lights, heat, radio etc. at idle with all loads on it can barely handle it, so why waste time with it risking killing a battery or worst, when there's a cheap fix.

Front fenders were rolled flat and the paint started peeling off. For the rear I just shaved the inner lips off. At my height when I had them, the rear fenders would scratch my wheels when going up driveways and speedbumps.

Nope wasn't exaggerating when I revved it up to 6k. I hated rolling out of meets and having to book it down the street to rev it to 6k and not look like a ricer.

Taurus alt is ok, I think I may need to do some rewiring though. My headlights dim when idle drops to around 600rpms. I'll keep toying with it later, as for now just trying to finish my TII hood so that I can start working on my video that my buddy has been bothering me about.

finally got a hood! sweet.

try cutting the heat shield on the bottom of your ic. some guy on here claimed that his intake temps dropped 15 degrees.

when you ported your turbine housing did you change the flappers to a larger one? it might help more with your boost creep.

It may just be my belts are loose, I didn't make an extended bracket like suggested.

Hmm..I'll look more into the heat shield thing. As for the flapper its a s4 turbo and I ported it according to the stock flapper.

What you can also do is to port it out so it's bigger than the flapper, and weld a washer to the flapper to make it seal. I did it and it worked great, held 5 psi w/ bonez cat and 8psi no boost controller w/ straight pipe.

Thread *****: I have an RTEK 1.7 I can sell you if you want one BTW, I went HALTECH on my ****.

Looks like a great method. If mine does happen to cause problems, I'll go that route. Will take a day or so to redo it so no big deal

Okay cool I'll look into my engine bay more to see where I can position stuff once it stops raining around here. Thanks for the help though, I may have more questions later haha.

I got it from a local seller, he sold me the rear and front bumper. I can't say who made the replica but it seems like good quality.

From yesterday:
Its fun being the only fc that rolls to events like this..."So You Think You Can Stance"
