fixed the vacuumfeed to the oil injectors, as it had given some troubles in the past. the original one had died long ago and the previous one i made was also no good beacuse of a coolant and fuel leak i had.
now i fixed it with some proper fittings and also used hoseclamps to the hoses wont pop off anymore
refitted the injectors and fuelrails
then started connecting the wiring loom again, but i noticed the wiring on the CAS was really bad where the wires come out of the housing, that could have caused some major issues or death in the future...!
fixed the wiring, so thats all good now
spent the entire afternoon cleaning parts and putting them back on, which results in an almost completed engine

made some more good progress...
made some new chassis supports so i can cut out the stock left-to-right brace to make room for my radiator. i'll be fitting these in the weekend.
spent the entire evening on placing the intercooler.
it lies absolutely flush with the hood now.
i'm going to modify the endtanks so the inlets are on the side of the engine instead of both sides
then i can use a 90degree pipe from turbo to intercooler and almost a straight pipe into the compression tube.
cant get any shorter then that!
the gap around the IC will be fully shrouded and i'll be making a tunnel to direct the airflow.
this will reduce overall enginebay temps and improve reliability and power.

and made some more progress...
got the Rotary-Works waterpump adapter in
immediately wrecked it by drilling a hole into it
plugged in a threaded bung, will be welding this next week
this hold the stock watertemp sensor
testfitting the adapter
mounted my new chassis brace, cut out the stock one
i added another one just in front of the swaybar, which i am using as a radiator support

positioned the radiator, now i just need to cut off the piping and relocate them.
then i need to start building a tunnel!
cut off the first IC endtank to fabricate new ones
just need to rotate the compressor housing a bit to line up with the IC properly
more soon..!

yeahh isnt going too bad..
thought fitment of the radiator would be a bigger issue, but didnt even need to cut away too much till now. just making things up as i go, and it seems to work
hoping to be finished with the engine in a month or so, so i can focus on the rear brakes.

yeah pretty much.. so i'm curious too!
i think this new setup will make a big difference in overall temps (water, oil, intake) so theoretically it should also improve performance a bit..
i'm also curious in the effects regarding throttle response and lag
i guess the dyno will tell

still didnt get any welding done, but went on with the build anyways...
mounted the Rotary Aviation OMP adapter, but i found out that the oilreturn doesnt fit.. so i modified the pipe a bit.
tank will sit right above it, hence the hose connection pointing upwards.
got the watersensor bung welded
the new Rotary Works intake
it doesnt fit the way i hoped it would, it sits too high and needs to go outward some more.
instead of modifying the intake, i decided to make an adapter in between TB and intake, so the intake sits at an angle to get it in the right position.
made a few flanges for this
to fill in the gap in between the flanges, i made this piece out of an aluminium sheet, which i cut at an angle
that needs to be tacked first to check the position
yesterday my new oilcooler arrived and i spent this evening mounting them.
i only need to modify the bumper a bit to make it fit nicely

it isnt going to stop anytime soon..!
decided yesterday to ditch my current radiator and fan all together instead of adapting them, and going to get me some new stuff!
figured out that a skyline R32 radiator will be a better base to work with, as it fits nicely in between the front chassis beams (or whatever you call it in english :p)
im also going to fit a pair of 12inch fans instead of the current single 15inch fan.
it isnt going to stop anytime soon..!

also bought me some FD rear brake discs. so i can upgrade the rear from 273mm to 294mm and fabricate some brackets so i can use the stock 4-pot front calipers in the rear. i already got an adjustable brake reducer lying around.
just need to fabricate something for the parking brake.

got a fair bit done today

i have to cut off and re-weld the fittings in different locations, but at least it fits..
modified the bumper so it fits with the new oilcoolers. just have to figure something out for the gap where the intercooler piping used to be
made the upper part of the tunnel.
slight teaser of the engine
now i need to fabricate the rest of the tunnel. find out where i need the radiator inlets and then take everything apart for final assembly.
ordered a pair of new seats, seatbelts and also a cilinder so i can fabricate the hydraulic handbrake using the stock lever
