its been a while waiting for parts, but several have arraived in the last days, so I can really get some things done in the next couple of weeks.
Stoptech FD3S brake discs, which i will mount on the rear
but... they dont fit yet
machined the hubs down on the lathe by 11,5mm to clear the disc.
now i need to press in some new bearings and i can start fabricating the brackets
new adjustable seats
almost all of the aluminium has been welded by the guys from Jeroentje.nl

after nog getting anything done due to work, holidays and illness, i treated myself to a well-earned vacation so i can make some progress.
i have to compete in the Dutch Time-Attack series in March, so the car has to be finished!
started the week well with mounting my new seats.
drivers side was easy, drilled some extra holes in the stock rails and it slid right in.
passenger side was a whole different story, because the stock inside rails is mounted at an angle on the transmission tunnel.
fabricated a special mount, so i could get the seat as low as possible and as far back as i could. slid all the way back, it is about an inch away from the back seat
looks complicated but it works perfect
stock rails on the other side
and there they are...
a few weeks ago i had mounted a tank to use with my Rotary Aviation OMP adapter. this will be filled with 2-stroke oil.

and that was the 2nd day of my holiday!
made a harnass bar to attach my seatbelts
i used the stock mounting points for the front and rear seatbelts.
positioned it in such a way that i can put down the back seat if needed
picking up my seatbelts tomorrow, testfit them and then get the harnass bar off for coating
made my oil cooler lines
and did some preperations for tomorrow

im asking what is going to regulate how much oil is injected?
I use one of those adapters, but I use a s4 throttle body with mechanical linkage, I am now going over to a S6 throttle body and was not sure if I was going to use mechanical linkage or get rid of it all together

he used to make another adapter that allowed any of the OMPs to operate via mechanical linkage, he has the drawings but does not want to make them anymore. Speed_Nyc on this board has one of like 2 or 3 of those type of adapters. Simplifies things when you are going standalone. I even offered to buy 10 of them or so and sell them for him but he does not want to bother.

im guessing since the rotor is bigger in the rear (FD) there is a bracket needed to pull the caliper out further. are you making one or buying one? just curious

but i am going to use the stock front caliper, so i need to fabricate a whole different bracket for this

vacation is over.. but im happy since i got a fair bit of work done!
im actually ahead of schedule for what i had plannen for the past week
started with mounting my fans, cleaned up the front of the engine bay a bit and mounted the radiator for the last time.
harnass bar came back from powdercoat. looks real nice and for what i can feel right now this will definately aid in some chassis stiffness.
mounting the seatbelts next week
the ducting for rad and IC is almost finished, just need to add some pieces in front from bumper to radiator
just couldnt go any further, because i sliced open my wrist on a piece of aluminium, about 7cm or so.
funny thing was, i was mounting the rubber just to avoid being cut if i am working in the engine bay.
this will be the space in which i need to mount the waterpump and all the piping
all my piping and siliconde couplers will be delivered tomorrow, so i can start the plumbing this week!

progress has been slow because i had a little accident at work and i broke my thumb.. still recouperating, but with some help i managed to go on with the build!
made a brackte for the waterpump and made the first connection
mounted the seatbelts
i have bought some 350Z wheels with R888 for the track, the were powdercoated white by the previous owner.
tried them on for size with the spacers i had on my other wheels.. perfect fit!
and YESSS... i know it looks awfull covered in dust!
