Good to hear, Dill. Keep the updates coming. Be sure to keep an eye out for oil leaks. Mine didn't manifest for about 200 miles and now it seems I need to reseal my pan.

after running the car last night, finding a major injector leak, and coolant... and oil... but thats all fixed for the most part, now starting the car again seems like more of a challenge, it just spits an spudders but notta, now that being said.. the leading plugs are dry, the trailings are wet... one with oil... that should not be there, since im runing premix.. so idk have to play with it i guess

Got the thing running pretty smooth, now it's time to just tune it in, get my wideband working finish my intercooler setup, and boost it

So, update front stationary bearing failed locked up the motor... So it's toast, tore it apart last night and everything was mint, very little wear and tear, I would say irons housings and rotors are 8/10! That being said the front stationary gear and eshaft are toast... So now either I rebuild it or find a cheap running motor... Decisions decisions..

Thanks, it did suck, the oem apexi seals showed little wear, would have been a strong motor with 6-8psi, oh well, now I have to find why the bearing failed I would assume it was due to low oil pressure? So now I'm going to get my self a oil pressure gage and shim the regulator

Heres some pics of the tear down..
everything isnt in bad shape, one housing has a small ding from idk what, and theres some weird waves just above the sparkplug holes :S

irons are 8/10 little to no lip, no cracks. very clean.
rotor just has a bit of carbon thats about it,

I've lurked this thread, but i wonder if your problems are from a dirty motor. Not actual dirt (or maybe) but where did the engine come from? Crap in the oil will kill bearings and those scratches on the housings look like maybe a got-lucky-lost-apex-seal or, dirty motor.

Motor came out of a running 87 in January , all apex seals where there.

that being said it was the oem motor from 87, never rebuild with unknown KMS on it, it just ran strong and it was there to use so bam, im pretty bummed a stationary gear bearing is what made me tear it down, but i guess thats the name of the game, so now im hunting for a running s4 n/a / turbo motor to swap in now, i dont really want to spend 1200ish on a n/a rebuild.

Little update, motor is sitting in Brampton for me, just waiting for next pay to get it, upgrades has been planed for this winter, new custom turbo mani, waste gate, screamer pipe fender dump "favourite part" haha should be awesome, other then that, just need to tune the lt8 down fully, maybe work in some 2 step for some fire throwing awesomeness. Other then that coilovers cage and some seats will be upgraded this winter, next year we will spend a good chunk of time at the track!

You sure that the single belt will be enough to spin that water pump? With the airpump off I would probably consider a dual pulley just to be sure

I'm currently looking for one, as I would like to run two pulleys for the mean time, I have that sucker as tight as it will go, so I'll just be carful and watch the temps till I get the double pulley luckly with the evening weather we have it shouldn't get to hot
